All set up! Does anyone else in eu boner use a symlink for their mods folder? My C drive is a very exhausted 120gb SSD that I haven't gotten around from switching out from, so I symlinked it to a folder in my games folder (that's on a 2tb NVMe) and it appeared to all work fine in game, all of the modded avatars and guns loaded.

Slime trackers are perfectly fine, and more people use them than you think. Just have to use BNO085+BMI270 or the new LSM6DSV based ones and not the super low budget crap.
Lots of EU using Panda Trackers which are just LSM6DSV, the Haritora ones and Mocopi also have third party support to bridge them into the SlimeVR ecosystem to get much better tracking than their original software.

The issue with imu tracking isn't drifting however, it's inaccuracy of movements compared to lighthouse. The better in-between are the vive ultimate trackers, but they are expensive and don't work well in small rooms

It depends on which IMU you are using BNO085+BMI270 was the previous flagship combination as the BNO085 was prone to drifting when doing stomping movements in dancing hence the BMI270 for the legs, LSM6DSV is the current flagship which was released just last year. The more points of tracking you have, the less drift which is why most come in 8pc sets as standard now. Even the modern budget LSM6DSO LSM6DSO variants will easily last 20~30m+
Most bad drifting issues that are widely cited are using bottom crappy low end and obsolete IMUs like the MPU6xxx, MPU9250 being notorious for lasting under 10m or stuff like the BMI160 lasting 15 mins which is also the one that a lot of DIYs used.

Hybrid tracking setups like Quest + vive 3.0s are still prone to drifting as the two play spaces drift apart the larger the play space the worse the rotational drift will be from the point of misalignment, you'll also have to recalibrate if you leave your play space, or if your headset goes to sleep (you take it off) hence some opt to stick an additional vive tracker to the headset to auto sync the two place spaces.
Which is why Vive came out with the Vive Ultimate Tracker which is inside out, but that has it's own issues, as HTC isn't close to Meta when it comes to inside out tracking.

Only true no drift solution is a full base station setup like Index, pimax, meganeX big screen beyond or some other base station tracked headset.

I think it will be a hard sell, $249 is a lot for an IR camera. It depends entirely on the tracking quality of IMUs + the IR camera and whether it truly eliminates drift.

In exchange, combat isn't the enemy doing a series of animations you can cancel but can't realistically interact with. You can actually block and direct enemy weapons and there's some friction with clashing weapons. And your weapons don't get stuck on enemies because they cleanly cut. It has functional dismemberment and blows to vitals are one hit kills. I wondered if there were more games like this because I'd like to play them. I hope B&S 2 is more like this.

map was fun. though i think the having all months in the same room but localized, was while clever, a bit of a mistake, since you inevitably end up with people at different months, making it kind of annoying to on the fly see where other people are at, where in previous maps you can just jump through rooms till you catch up

yeah you can change on the fly but its ironically more complicated to catch up with people (or catch "down" to people) without specifically asking what month they are on, instead of just going through rooms till you find them. so the end result was you had a few groups or handfuls that went through together, but if someone else joined, or you went to a different group of people standing literally right next to you, yet they are in different months, its kind of clunky
