the other day i posted about having problems with vd connecting to mobile hotspot. I think i fixed but i dont know exactly how, i just messed with settings on my wifi adapter from device manager and things just worked again. also noticed that the network was being recognized as wifi 4 by my quest when it wasnt working and wifi 6 when it was. sharing in the rare chance this actually helps someone

picrel is my vd performance ingame (dont laugh my gpu). You guys said mobile hotspot sucks but honestly havent had any problem with it. Im using a wifi 6 card with a short corded antenna on my desk and am able to max out all the setting. Sitting at my desk i get around 45 ms of latency and when standing away from my desk i get around 60. Its just on the edge of being noticeable but i can still deal with it, and im planning a gpu upgrade so that should drop the latency a good amount as well.

Was gathering data from my matches on what people would think about adding an extension button.
The idea is that since /vrg/ are starting to know most of everyone already it’s time to add ways to increase deep convo chances rather than the usual 5 mins focused quick talks.
The increase to 6 mins was a try at this too.


An extend button will in theory allow room for deep conversations if the moment clicks with both parties.
But I was thinking it should be a kimited resource that has to be earned so people don’t feel bad rhat their match aren’t clicking the extend button every time.

I had a pleasant time for the whole duration of EU hours. There were a few hiccups where I had duplicate matches and had deer in the headlights moments because I had nothing to talk about a second time but it only happened like three times and mostly 7-8 hours in when I already hopped to the bigger 70pop eu instance. You could get the movements from the tracker on an external app and trigger osc messages when you reach a threshold. Another possibility could be to have the tracking of one hand on the back but the controls in your hand, so your "hand arm" would be static, but the back arm could fully move
You might also want to look if it's possible to build a controller to activate with your back muscles

You still spawn in the house 50% of the time with the other person. But sometimes both of you will spawn on the branch on a 50% chance.

Current idea I've managed to cobble together with the other anons I've talked with is to create a currency that is earned per match and you need 6 of that currency to purchase a single extension (+5 mins). That's what spoils Breachers for me. People complain about downtime in Pavlov S&D but one mistake in Breachers and you're sat there with desaturated vision, often in complete silence, waiting for the round to end which usually happens so suddenly that you barely see any build-up to it.

I personally value more matches, I also really like getting people engrossed in a conversation and having it get cut off, makes it more likely for them to seek me out later if they see me at a meetup
