Honestly a very good device with shit support held back by the trash propriety storage cards and sony overpricing/abandoning it almost immediately. Nothing like that for the shield, you're about as effective as you are in flat plus you can shoot in any direction and look around the bullet holes in your glass as you get them.

Tracking wise there's some motion controls for opening doors and shit but I always let the AI teammates do it. You've got IK arms which is actually pretty impressive.

Multiplayer is reportedly jank with some stuff not working syncing wise and your avatar being very freaky, but at the very least it DOES work and it's not insurmountable to fix it.

I understand now what racist anon meant when he said that latency matters the most. I've been trying to get good with the sniper rifle in Feetfront, and the latency problem is really hitting me hard.
Even at native 120fps I cannot get it below 29ms.
In the VD HUD I can see that encoding and decoding is the biggest limiting factor, taking up around 16ms, followed by networking that takes 4ms. The frame interval at 120Hz can be rounded up to 9ms, so it adds up to 29ms.
How do I get rid of all that lag?
Are there any NVIDIA-specific fixes I can use to reduce it further? I've already enabled ultra reflex.
What is the best way to go for latency on a Quest 3? Steam link? The VD cable hack?

i use a cable (has to be 3.0 connected to a 3.0 usb port) and use meta link.

latency is MUCH MUCH lower than VD. and you can push a higher bitrate than VD. its perfect for me, as the latency was a deal breaker once i got my quest 3.
