there are a lot of ways people can craft their own expression of self through creation. Following a tutorial to make a faceless human body is a great first step to learning, but once you get weight painting and rigging, you'll realize there's a lot of complexity under the surface. For example your guy there doesn't appear to have good edge flow for elbows or knees or shoulders or armpits and even the crotch/hips is going to give you issues down the line weighting it all.

I highly encourage everyone who is interested to learn and practice in blender because it does eventually pay off. But no need to discourage people from shopping for cute clothes on booth. In fact with the blender skills to create, it unlocks even more possibilities for people to customize outfits they find and imbue their own self expression into those things too.

Change the rendering mode on the skin texture's material (see just below that search bar) to either Cutout or Transparent to enable alpha masking (alpha is just a technical name for transparency). It's an alpha mask to make that part of your body texture transparent. Set the material rendering mode to cutout and in that section under main color / alpha put that texture into the mask slot. Play around with the colour adjust so it turns your legs transparent. It was kind of weak already but it could have kept itself alive as a niche market, but with the RAM thing it's just going to get killed. I think facebook is going to cancel the quest 4, since with the RAM like it is, they are going to not bother developing a headset when they look at ram price and realize that they can't make the thing.
Same with all other wireless/standalone headsets. All gone. Then for wired and PCVR, the compute requirements and missing RAM/GPUs means that no-one can get into VR any more. It just rides on what people already have, and fundamentally has no growth. It just shrinks and that's it. VR just stops. VRC communities reach breaking points where it's just desktoppers so people stop playing and before that point everything else is gone.
Basically at this point the only future for VR is quest level graphics and gameplay on PCVR wired headsets because of the reduced compute requirements.

I think so. 5600g was performing below 5600 (not even X), so 5700x, and especially any x3d, will be a good upgrade for a serious bottleneck you're most likely having now. Then again, I'm aware of how unavailable 5xxx x3ds are, so it's kinda tricky to get the best option for your system.

imo this is the best moment to waste any money you have on the best upgrade you can get. if you can afford am5 upgrade, go for 9800x3d, get 64gb of ram, and pray it's enough for near future. unironically might not have a chance to do that for quite a bit from now on
