I recently made my first piece of clothing from scratch in blender a few months back, right after doing the donut tutorial, and my first attempt at it (top half of pic related) turned out like shit.
But after a few more cracks at it, it started becoming easier, and I think it only took me a week IIRC to go from the top one of idk what im doing how do I make hoodie to the bottom one.

Some things that helped me was modeling different parts or sections as different meshes and joining them later, instead of trying to model everything all in one-go. Also for clothing, blender has a "Grab Cloth" sculpting brush that can help add some depth and give the mesh more of an uneven cloth-like appearance instead of being a completely flat mesh that perfectly encapsulates you.

Substance Painter was also pretty easy to learn in a few hours for basic texture work that looks good.

One thing I have been struggling with is quickly splitting edges/faces so that things don't look quite as low poly as they are... I am a lot more used to the workflow of Wings3D than blender, but wings is not the right tool for this task.

I haven't been in exactly that place in my life but after I graduated but before I found work it was an immensely stressful time for me. No matter how hard I tried or what I did, it was never "enough." The sad truth is that there is no foolproof set of steps to follow to get a job, especially in this economy. All you can do is make a serious effort to apply and interview until your eventually find something. Moving out from your parents would be overall great for your own mental health, but financially it will be difficult. You'll need room mates most likely, and I guess they would need to be alright with you jerking it to VR porn.

You'll need some way to get money too, and you might have to sell your VR gear for the time being. There are a lot of other options in life besides traditional 9-to-5 jobs, and if I am honest, I think the 9-to-5 jobs are either going away or turning into 8-to-7 jobs, or the 7am-to-10pm if it's for an international company.

On the other hand, once you are situated and have a job and your own place, you'll find re-buying VR gear a whole lot easier, so don't lose hope!

I mentioned this recently in relation to turning it off but my quest 2 is stuck with an update message that never goes away when shutting it off.
What some anon suggested of just holding the power button for longer worked for shutting off, but I would like to fix the updating issue.
Is factory reset the only way to fix that? I don't wanna do that.
I tried leaving it at that shutting off update screen for like 4 hours today (wifi on and charging cable on of course) and nothing happened, so yeah I am pretty sure something is broken.

I Expect You To Die is probably the best VR escape room/puzzle series, it's fun and stylish but it's play once kind of deal by the nature of puzzle game. Definitely must play if you didn't.
Deadpool is also very fun but it's love letter to the fans of the character, your enjoyment of the game depends entirely on how much you care about Deadpool. With the studio shutting down it will probably be on sale more often.

Recon is good on tunnel. Beacons are always useful, there are enough long sightlines in the tunnels to snipe from and the SVD is now fires as fast as the deagle so it's a capable medium range option.

I use the textile one, it's not about the amount of padding but the size of the pad. Original frontpad is too narrow and ends up pressing too much onto your forehead, bigger pad spreads the pressure out more evenly. I guess you could try bigger topstrap and put the pressure on top of head instead that way.
Or maybe your head shape is just not good fit for QPro, for me it's easily second comfiest HMD I ever used.

Stick pressing doesn't actually increase stick wear, I don't know where that meme came from. The tension of the potentiometer graphite tracks is done by springs and isn't on the same axis as the stick press action. Plus I can tell you 100% that over the past 5 years or so of pavlov, I was pressing my right stick in all the time but it's my left stick that dies first. Every time.

I think almost everything is going to at least have eyes, but there's a lot of options without mouths and you can cover the eyes with a cool visor. Pic related is the Inhyeong 3 which has just laser eyes by default.

Apple didn't implement controller support for the longest time either because they thought people were unironically going to only use it for productivity, so they were sticking with a frame rate that was fine for watching media content. Right now the XR's tracking is complete dogshit, there are massive bugs that somehow having passthrough mode causes massive performance drops, and so on, but I doubt they're so computationally starved that they couldn't handle a 120hz stream if they manage to actually get Quest levels of optimization on their tracking computational budget. Those headsets you listed all still work for PCVR so I wouldn't say it's a big risk. Someone could even be playing VR games with us today using a CV1 they bought nearly 10 years ago.

If everyone posts instances they want to host it results in everyone being invited to each other and can intermix. If everyone does not post once they have one friend then the thread is near 0 instance posts at all and no one can join anyone once they know one guy and does not intermix groups of /vrg/ making /vrg/ less cohesive as a community

I know the answer is most likely yes but I remember when it first got announced there was a lot of disappointment here in /vrg/ because it was basically just a slightly better Quest 3

Now that's the announcement has had some time to simmer though and we're also beginning to see this month how much Meta is attempting to hit the abort button on VR, the Frame is looking a lot more exciting even still knowing it's just a slightly better Quest 3.

Anyone else feel this way? Where you were disappointed in the announcement but have grown to be excited by it now that the dust has unironically settled?
