Play Half Life 2 VR, it's free, and Half Life 2 is a great game in its own right. Walkabout minigolf is more a relaxing experience, especially with teleport movement easing you in. Beatsaber is the classic introduce-someone-to-VR game as you don't move in game without moving your body so it can help you get used to the experience of being in VR. I Expect You to Die is a seated puzzle experience that's great in short bursts as you're getting used to the headset. The first GORN game should be relatively cheap and is a fun arena brawler as long as you don't hit your walls or anything delicate. Of course there are more game recommendation in the OP rentry.

If you like firearms, Hotdogs Horseshoes and Handgrenades is a big firearms sandbox with both a ton of guns in game and in mods. There's not much of a *real* game but you can make your own fun if you enjoy guns enough.

In general VR is quite nice for /k/fags because the medium generally forces devs to put some thought into tactile gun mechanics because of how the thing is in your actual hands. Even in VRchat there's a ton of gun fidget prefabs for avatars.

The few options we have for face tracking just suck, so many people walking around with derpy half-closed eyes and winking every couple of seconds, and then they go to show off their mouth tracking with some funny motion and their blendshapes warp to become an eldritch monstrosity.

People need to learn that they're walking cartoon characters and if they want to impart their facial animations onto an anime girl it needs to be done with as little realism as possible.

After years of facetracking and also seeing more and more people get it, it really makes everyone feel super-samey, like everyone is wearing the exact same face with the exact same facial expressions.

Other anon here, I find them rather useless. Pretty much everywhere tanks can just drive around them and chances are high you are carrying the rpg instead of the talon to bonk tanks from a distance.
