I contacted Bigscreen support about my popping audio, I had to pay them 30 usd for a 3d printed adapter(has actual electronics inside) that boosts the voltage of the cable. Seems to work so far. Kinda bs that I have to pay them to fix this issue, since they just include the booster for bsb2. Hopefully I don't have to invest in any more vr devices before smeme frame comes out.

Q3 alone is insanely better then the Index, especially with the optic stack allowing edge to edge clarity so you can look at things by simply moving your eyes and not your entire head. It died because it didn't deserve to live. I hope one day the crate of beers prop makes it into vrchat with its full functionality of the bottles being able to be smashed on players and walls after they've been emptied.

I have a Quest 2 right now that I've pirated some games on. I was wondering if it was worth getting a Quest 3 right now, since the ram shortage shit isn't ending soon. I was waiting for a Q4 but that seems far away now and will probably be upwards of $600-$700 bucks. Steam Frame seemed all right but the price will probably be ~$800 and it doesn't even have color passthrough which is retarded (for my use case). I plan on doing mostly VaM stuff or VR videos but would it still be smart to get a Q3? I can see some listings on ebay for ~$360 for used ones. I'll have to get lenses too because my vision is shit so that's an additional $100, and also $100 more for accessories, so $550 bucks or so in total.

DoE is still pretty fun but that ice hockey rink in the basement is pretty addicting. Wish there was a wider selection of VR Sports games available (or if more people were willing to play the mobile-slop tier All in One (Summer) Sports VR).

Point is to open it in blender to see if the skirt bones are even still there and working. Use the link and load it into blender, then go into pose mode and see if it even has skirt bones any more. If not, you're in for a lot of work or you can just give up on it. If it does, you can then reconfigure it in unity to work again and add physbones manually.

Depends what you want to do. You can play PCVR on quest headsets so you can get a super cheap quest 3s just to try out VR and play minecraft on that. I'd recommend a quest 3 though (non S) since that's a better headset and not that much more.
