Having a good golf form is key to playing Walkabout well, to the point that my father was asked by his golf buddies about it this spring because he was destroying them on the greens so hard. You can play it poorly by waggling but that's on you.

I also have no idea what you mean about it not using the full extent of VR. It doesn't have an IK or body because you play with one controller anyway and want to grip said controller with both hands, the only thing it really lacks is heavily spacialized audio but it does use it, just with very low fall off so you don't have people wandering out of conversation range. Some of the course designs are more grounded because they don't need to go big to provide an interesting challenge, but there's plenty of courses that are fantastical and could never be done outside of VR.

What is this?
A celebration of anon’s varied groups and activities.
For one day /vrg/ turns into a full blown school festival, with rooms, booths, attractions and little corners of chaos all hosted by the different groups and friend circles around the community.

Come wander the grounds and visit what anons have cooked up.
Games, exhibits, hangouts, performances, themed rooms, comfy spots, weird ideas, good ideas, dumb ideas made real.
The whole point is to let every part of /vrg/ show its face and make something fun for everyone else to enjoy.

If you’ve ever wanted to host something, decorate a room, run a booth, make a club attraction, show off your group’s gimmick or just contribute to the general festival atmosphere, this is the event for it.
Big or tiny projects, polished or scuffed projects, they all have a place in a school festival.

This is both a social event and a showcase.
A chance to see what all the different corners of /vrg/ are up to, meet people you don’t normally bump into and enjoy an entire map full of anon-made activities all in one place.

Specially if you are currently or have hosted weekly/monthly/occasional events before and currently!
COME AND SHILL, Grow your club, Entice another anon to try what you love doing!

The Frame seems pretty good, my only concern are the speakers, my last headset was a Rift which had nice fat speakers that rested on your ear to really suck you into things, can Frame's little opens side speakers provide that sort of immersion? Then again I checked the Quest and it seems to use the same type so perhaps the Rift's are just out of date and not needed anymore

Finally figured out how to consistently get the IR Flood working on the fancy laser light module in the shop:

If you want to try VR first before getting disappointed you can still find "used" Quest 2/3S (opened at Christmas and never touched again) on ebay for <€200. 1. Fluxpose trackers (coming 2027)

The cheapest commonly used thing is Slimes and half the time I've heard people complaining about how horrible they are.
Another option for the same price would be Rebocap (Which I'm probably the only /vrg/ member using) which has been working pretty well. Pretty much perfect for posing and just hanging around. Has a long battery life so you can pretty much go the whole week without recharging them.
Although with stuff like PyPy you do notice the drifting happening after 1/2 songs so if you're interested in that either deal with the recalibration or look for another solution.
