Let's start "normal". Honda S2000 at Ahvenisto. Pretty fun litte balanced sportscar, in a race track which feels like a bit of a tarmac rally stage in Finland! Afterwards - we're going to explore Sweden, with AI traffic which are less of an assholes than before.

I was on the fence from September 2016 to December 2016, watching what was coming out. Teleport and roomscale did not impress me.

When I heard that Dante Buckley of Onward figured out a way to do artificial locomotion and I saw what Onward was, I bought and had my Vive on the last day of the new year. I'm still using the same 1.0 base stations almost 10 years later, and I have 2 2.0s NIB for when those finally give up. The first Uplink game I played me and someone else got suppressed hard behind a mound of sand. I dug my head so far into my floor as I could because the sound of gunfire and the snap of bullets over my head was terrifying. Seeing the guy next to me die because he stuck his head out was a feeling of fear I never got from a flatscreen FPS. Since then I feel like I've been chasing a dragon for that same high.

I will always be sad at what Onward became.

I don’t remember exactly. It was a brick that shattered into an inky slime like texture. If you look closely at the gif you see it explode when it hit my arm. It script felt like I got punched.

I had a great time this weekend, yeah. Everyone was very helpful as I suffered a million user error problems annd I was able to pick up a lot quickly. I got my headset in Friday and between Friday and Saturday I wore the headset for about 10 hours. I can definitely see myself getting more use of it, I just have to play more actual games now. NTA but vrchat is extremely "smooth" for new users. It being a social game, there is not that much movement. All the movement that happens comes from your own head and body movement, which is extremely easy to swallow for your stomach.
It's only when motion via stick gets introduced that the body "notices" something doesn't feel right ("I see movement, but I don't feel movement. Something is wrong.") and tries to detoxify your system by trying to make you throw up. Or something along those lines.

I have no idea what the Brandon video is. My situation is somewhat odd. Earlier in the year I got curious about 4K UHDs and bought a Libredrive compatible drive and started buying and ripping discs. Then plex did their big price hike and I ended up meeting a German guy who sold me his plex lifetime pass for like $50. While I was talking to him he told me I should really try bigscreen as it’s the best way to watch your remixes.
This year I was lucky enough to get both a steam controller in the first wave and a steam machine in its first wave, so I was interested in the frame since the valve hardware was pretty good for my use cases. But after all the waiting and my research making me feel like it won’t really be worth the price it will launch at, whatever that is, I decided to jump at a great deal I got from a liquidating warehouse for a different headset.
Lots of random circumstances that all added up to me being here.

People were asking me that the whole time. No, I had no headaches or motion sickness or phantom feelings. I didn’t have eye strain either. The only time I was uncomfortable was when I spawned in the sky and fell all the way down after sessions. It didn’t make me sick, but it did create that gut butterfly effect like on a rollercoaster.

The optical lens system of the headsets usually puts the image at like 10 meters distance usually. Depends on the headset it can be closer or further away.

I figured something out about a potential solution for this. An idea an anon friend of mine suggested as well, just a bit different/enhanced.

If the issue is "wasting time" then we just match up people prioritizing similar interests.

Similar to the school festival stamp system, we'll have lickable interest "tags" for people to choose at a new setup room.
These tags will then carry over when you match with somoene and you will see what interests someone has and which ones you two share. Example: (/a/, /b/, /e/, /h/, /v/, /vg/, /o/, all the other boards) (As well as some non-4chan tags like "career", "cheese", i dunno)
The more tags you have in-common the more the matcher will prioritize you to get matched first. (Not waste time)

At the start area, the room lobby board will also have a total view of all the interests in the instance so you can roughly view what the interests of people in the instance are. So you will know what composition the instance is so you can check the other instance if it's any better for the type of potential person/friend you'd like to meet.

This can be persistent due to the stamp system persistence I recently learned how to do for school festival.


This way, minute per minute, you will get to meet the most compabitble anons first
(lightning, group and game will still be full randomze)

There's a case by case basis too ofcourse, where they need to host it on the day since that's the only time they can do it due to life situations

I'll give an example of Valentines Day where we had FBF, Dance and Feels Bar. That one was fine because the idea of "Valentines" is a very specific day lol. That couldn't be helped that valentines day became saturday which is the usual FBF timeslot we've been hosting it at.

For Christmas, December is massive so we can probably have multiple christmas events spread across the weeks.
This ensures people don't have to choose between one or the other and can enjoy both. If we someoheow got 10+ event makers for decemeber it'll be a joyous moment and I'll accept gracefully and gleefully that we'll have eevnts stacking on each other due to limited event time slots.


tl;dr I don't mind events stacking if it can't be helped anymore. A graceful acceptance of a good problem to have (having more events than time slots available)
