Someone uploaded a halo level to vtol and instead of a warthog its the AH94. I am not the best flyer of the heli so this was real hard. Didn't beat it after failing 6 times but i think the ending is right there at the end of picrel.

VRCLens makes it so much better, out of focus rendering and exposure handling are both night and day compared to default camera, and I'd say it's worth it just for the way it handles exposure. Give it a try on any test avatar and you'll probably be instantly convinced. As a bonus, it also feels a bit closer to normal camera if you're into that, aperture and focal length are in f-stops and milimeters respectively.

I can try extracting it into some kind of a half-baked prefab if you want to have it, but basically it goes as follows:

It may still be a good tutorial project, because basic ideas under this gimmick are very simple.

PCVR streaming to a Quest 2 via WiFi is a bad experience, and I'm already on a 5GHz connection that maxes out the Q2's wifi hardware.
Valve got it right by including two redundant wifi radios operating on different frequencies so you don't get nasty stuttering all the time.
Kind of nuts that other manufacturers didn't think of this, they could've easily made multi-link possible via separate 2.4GHz and 5GHz connections.

It works okay with a cable, but if you don't mind the cable you're probably better off buying a psvr2 or some other actual PCVR headset in the first place so you get uncompressed video and better latency.

rooting and dev mode are different things. Very few people use actual rooted quests because there's a big risk meta will brick it if they detect that.
You can install termux and other regular Android apps without root or dev mode. I do use dev mode, but not for anything interesting, just for running my "legally obtained backup copies" of quest games.

My hack was to treat the entire world like a game. Each person is a series of flags to unlock and you have to decide what the right words to say are to obtain those flags.
After a while conversation becomes second nature because you are engaged at trying to win the game every time you play, and you become invested in the people you talk to because you need to pay attention to everything they say and do in order to fully understand their mindset and motivations which is required to win. Eventually you will also understand yourself by analyzing your own methods and thought processes. Eventually the end result will be that you are hyper social and treat every person with respect and attention solely for the benefit of getting to talk to them since even a short conversation is practice for longer conversations, and you will have a better understanding of who you are as a human because you will have spent so much time talking that your perspectives and opinions are naturally developed for talking.

You will strike out a lot, but everyone is bad at games when they first try. The key is to just keep playing. Romantic relationships are the boss fights, but you never have to take them on if you prefer just to play in sandbox mode. VR is easy mode anyway, and social media/image boards is basically just training mode

Elite Dangerous has VR support that still works well. With a t1600m HOTAS you can do everything without opening an overlay/using a keyboard, and WITH an overlay you can do something like pinning a youtube window while you're space trucking.

The audio design is really great in that game and the galaxy map especially is really cool to zoom in/out of since it's this big 3D projection.

For pc mods I personally played X-Wing Alliance. Absolute PITA to set-up and dial in the billion HOTAS keybind but worth it.

It's not a VD feature. It's a feature of the Snapdragon XR series chips that runs on the headset locally. Frame is in that same family with Quest and should be able to do it.

I think there's probably a pretty good chance of getting off the waitlist.

A lot of people probably just clicked reserve because it was free and why not, but when it comes down to it are not going to drop $1000 on a vr headset.

I personally don't think so but if the Frame is at the limit of your budget and you don't have lighthouses there's no other option worth considering between now and the possibly non-existent Quest 4. After that who knows, we may not see a complete VR package in the ~$1k and below VR market for a long time.

The question on my mind is will the Quest 4 be worth waiting for? Obviously nobody knows but I can't see them subsidising it as much as before and the trend in consumer electronics for the foreseeable future is price increases. There's a real risk that Meta cuts enough corners to keep cost down that it becomes a smaller upgrade than expected.

Like a lot of things will be straightforward and then you'll find out that in ancient japan courts had beautiful exterior bathrooms. These are a known trope of the era for a japanese audience, they were very nice to use but had a reputation for scandalous activity. A character says he's going to go use one. The japanese audience knows this means he's going outside, and the way its said is meant to be unclear if he's actually going to the bathroom or going off to get a blowie.

You have to find a name for that exterior bathroom that isn't outhouse(far too trashy and out of place), conveys that he's not in certain locations (like for a murder mystery), and preferably still makes him sound sleezy.

The art is if you play a translated game and never have to think about the fact it wasn't in english from the get while you're playing it.
