Hey buddy, you're still there?

I found the cracking point where my stubborness breaks. All this weight painting that makes no sense and is probably a bug from the .pmx port from CM3D2 that completly destroys any facial animations.
The neck and left shoulder are attached to the face for some reason and when you move those the entire face plays corruption.

I went carefully through the bones, getting rid of any weight painting through every single mesh in the face but even when I had done that, it still fucks up.
I have been at for a couple of hours now and I don't make any progress. Everything else worked perfectly fine, just this weight painting is giving me the best of it.

Why can't I edit the skybox in my world?

I create a skybox component on the Main Camera and assign the material that I want, and the change shows in Unity, but it NEVER shows in the game.

Short GameCube -> VRChat Guide:

1. Get desired game .iso and Dolphin Emulator
1a. I used 4.0-157 since it uses Direct3D9 graphics, which the ripper likes
2. Open Dolphin through 3D Ripper DX, and capture the scene you want, with the wavefront .obj option in Ripper selected
3. Import .obj into blender
3a. The scene will be absolutely FUCKED, just totally nauseating to look at
4. Rotate, Skew, Scale the scene (in that rough order) using Blender's axes and primitive objects as a guide to match up with "perfect geometry" (straight lines and circles) in the scene
4a. You may need to flip normals
5. Make new Unity project
6. Move all of the .dds textures that 3D Ripper exported into a /Textures folder that is next to the Assets folder in Unity
7. Export an .fbx from Blender into a Unity asset folder
7a. Use export version 6.1 ASCII
7b. Use Path Mode "Copy" so Textures will go to Unity as well (for some reason Unity needs two copies of the textures to work smoothly. Don't ask questions, because the alternative is manually re-apply every texture/material in Unity)
8. Unity should take a while to import the model and convert all textures into materials
9. Add VRChat gobbledegook, like the Scene Descriptor and stuff for physics items
10. ?????

Can someone please, please help me? I've been trying to import a certain avatar to use for days and I've been following this tutorial most recently https://youtu.be/7P0ljQ6hU0A while following every step including the addon installs, but once I reach the step where you import the pmx file via CATS my menu is missing these options every time. I've tried with different models and I've even tried re-installing every program and add-on twice to ensure it's up to date and working properly, but nothing seems to work.

I discovered it by chance while I'd been working on doing the same thing - I was getting a basic version of her working (but not showing up for other people, so I must be doing something wrong still).

Very, the WMR headsets have the least support out of all the VR headsets. The controllers cant be tracked when they are too close to the HMD or behind you. And some other stuff I forget the exact details off that aren't good. You're really best off picking up a used rift or vive or something

Oooookay. I think I figured out at least PART of my problem.

My head movement somehow seems to be affecting my entire body, due to the fact when I look up and then stop moving, my fat ass doesn't crush my legs as much. I still need to shove the viewball waaaaay forward to not view the inside of my own neck, but I've received conflicting reports on where it should be located.

I did move my entire hips/spine/neck/head bone assembly back like some rando in Ava Testing suggested, but that didn't do much for the gut thrust. Lifting the avatar off the ground in Unity may have helped, but I honestly have no idea.
Also this is a Mixamo rigged avatar, based off a .dae I think.
I really would appreciate some assistance with this. Or would I have to join the Discord and bug the lads there?

In the preview before uploading, my avatar blinks but after uploading and trying it out in-game, their face is just static. No eye tracking either. Any suggestions for what to check? Eyes should be set up right, and in the unity editor, everything looks fine. It's only when trying it in-game that the face doesn't work. Emotes work fine too, so I have no idea what it could be.

Holy shit the brightness of the Vive is so much higher and better than the Rift. For example in the Persona 5 cafe room, many of the areas were way too fucking dark and you couldn't see shit with the Rift. With the Vive however it's nice and bright and easy to see in all the dark corners everywhere.

Orbus is a lot of fun, but it's also very, very rough. Graphics are nasty looking, sound design is nonexistant, world is empty and flat, not a whole lot to do.

If you can do that, your expressions are going to get stuck because you didn't delete the .controller generated by unity when you made the animation. That conflicts with VRC's .overridecontroller and creates situations where the values for the idle position are not returned, so the idle position takes the values of the override and cannot be reversed. The correct behaviour is for the blend shapes activated by the right hand to always override the left's.

Maybe it's possible to fix the animation tree so there's no problem, but I don't know how.

Just ready to be uploaded through the SDK, if you have no idea what you're doing go to the mega tutorial video in the tutorial pastebin and watch from 1:35:30 onward. And obviously you need unity for this, if you can't find that even i wont help you.

I left a few materials/keys for potential animations (changing the shape of the pupils) that came with the MMD so feel free to try those out to anyone who's interested. The eye level could use a little help and the knees clip through the skirt while running but I'm pretty happy for a quick rig. My vive is shipping now, so I haven't checked the hands.

He literally only tells you information you need to know save for the part about atlasing/animation making which you can only pick up later. Your first model WILL take a long time if you're just following step by step, there's no easier way to do it. After that it'll take a max 40 minutes.

Just suck it up and do it buttercup.
