Yesterday I hopped in a wow inn portal with 2 people, they reported FPS drops as soon as I joined in, for me it was all normal but a few seconds after that I got booted out back to the hub, I tried again creating an empty instance and it was all fine for me till somebody else joined, then the FPS got so bad I could barely move.
Is this an issue unique of that map or does it happen everywhere under certain circumstances?

I've run into a couple of streamers who I interacted with before finding out they were streaming (in-game). I go hang out with one of them when he's on (the first occasion where I ran into him was fantastic, but the last couple of times have been pretty bad. He starts talking about school/ work and not much else happens, and that's not what I come to VRChat for). The other streamer has a little group and a very small/ quiet viewbase and is on every night. I've become their attraction and they invite/ stalk me most nights. They're alright. A couple of them keep popping in when I'm with my VRfu. I don't know what he thinks about them.

I ran into ANOTHER streamer yesterday too. He was in a Peter Griffin avatar and did a spot-on impression. Entered a ladder match with him and others under the hosting of the Immortal Hulk Hogan.

They're everywhere. I'd love to know what videos/ streams I've popped up in because I love attention and find that shit interesting. I also record everything. I feel like this is something I'll look back on in some years, fondly. It also records your literal movements, so it's pretty crazy.

imported two different mmd models following tupper's tutorial, both have the same issue where the eye tracking is borked - it seems to rotate in its place as it moves across the eye causing it to disappear at the edges - and the mouth is all fucked up and lost in the face. is this a normal issue?

also, is there an english language program i can make custom edits of MMD's? I saw a mash of alice's clothes on a marisa model I'd like to replicate.

It's not just the legs, all body parts, fingers, chest, hips etc stopped following the bones, at least in pose mode doesn't matter what pose I try, nothing moves except the bones.

Happened to me twice. There’s a lot of people doing other animations that take up the whole world too though that don’t do some annoying shit that pisses everyone off.

I figured out that you can test who’s doing the cancer animations by just testing blocking each user till it turns it off. You can just unblock the ones that don’t turn it off. Previously I thought the block removes them from the social list.

Last night I think a hacker glitched my avatar out and made it flail on the ground. Respawn would help I had to rejoin the same instance to fix it. I wish there was a report users function.

It’s not normal and happens if you separated the mesh by materials before you did eye tracking. Save the eye tracking for the last step. It will fuck it up if join mesh, then do eye tracking, then separate the mesh again too. So, again just make sure eye tracking is the very last step in blender that you do.

Christ what the hell is wrong with Unity. Suddenly at some point yesterday, the play mode was lagging a lot. I thought maybe it was something I did in the project. Nope, it happens in all projects. I thought maybe something was running in the background. Nope, PC restart did nothing. Finally I decided to go open the "Profiler" in Unity, and BAM, it fixed everything. Play mode runs smoothly now. Just the simple act of opening the profiler fixed it. Seriously what the hell.

It reduces draw calls, the less materials you have the better. Don't be that guy who has fucking 50 materials. A friend sent me a unity package to upload for them that some one else had put on some vrc avatar website and it had a fucking shit ton of materials, clicking combine same materials reduced that by 33 without doing anything to quality
Going over the poly limit is pretty much ok as long as its all one mesh still and you properly optimise your avatar. Don't go mad with dynamic bones either you don't need 600 bones in hair for it to look good enough

Let me try to give you an example:

This particular avatar has a belt/jetpack thing. The textures for the belt/jetpack are all on one file. The black part of the belt uses the standard metallic shader. There is a red logo on each side that is emissive, and there are gems on it that I want rainbow shaded.

Other parts of the outfit have similar difficulties that make atlasing not so simple.

I've tried many things but can't get it to work, such as:
- Increasing avatar Y height in Unity
- Increasing avatar Y height in Blender
- Using an animation to change your Y-coordinate (no effect)

So somehow VRChat is recognizing where your model's leg bones (?) come in contact with the ground to determine your height. Do I need to add a 'long bone' downwards in Blender to my model, or extend the leg bones which Unity uses for the humanoid rig animation?

here's what I mean with the maps for the standard shader, like the metallic + smoothness (using the alpha channel in the metallic image) map allows you have an atlas containing with this data so you're able to combine dull and mirrorlike parts of your mesh into a single material

you can bake "mirror intensity" (same as metallic?) and emission maps in blender, but it depends on having your materials set up properly there. so it might be easier to make those maps in photoshop

your rainbow thing couldn't be handled by the same shader the other things could be, so that would have to be a separate material/shader. if you have like 5 or fewer materials you should be fine. atlassing can be a pain if you have a lot of different shader features, but the performance drop really is there when you have a room full of non-atlassed avatars

There's a run around though, did you already save the blend file? if not, don't save, minimize the current blender window and open a new empty one, then reopen the same blend project in the new window.
Select the shoe in object mode and ctrl+c then go back to the other window, delete the unneeded shoe and always in object mode ctrl-v, it should work.
Alternatively, duplicate and mirror the other shoe if it wasn't ruined, then assign the new mirrored shoe's vertices to the vertex group that has the same name as the bone of the ankle bone (or whatever bone was linked to the old shoe).
Help yourself with youtube tutorials if there're things you aren't sure, I recommend you save a copy of the project with a different name beforehand anyway.
