When we started playing Onward recently I was surprised to have to scroll through three pages of lobbies.
When I first got the game last year there were only two or three half-full lobbies at any given time. You can't judge VR games by today's standards, since today's standards are driven by free-to-play games designed to run on Chinese and Brazilian toaster laptops.

Over the past decade or so I've found myself constantly rambling about how meta in a game works and how it affects a game's life and death. This is uninronically the biggest reason that I've been to hardly any meetups. I've made friends with a pretty normie group that I often hang out with. The problem is, I don't really want them dropping in on me at a /vrg/ meet and then being shocked when things are getting wild. Then on the flip side regulars at the /vrg/ meets will probably just assume that I'm some normie bringing unwanted normans along to the meets and shun me.
Though writing this out, it just dawned on me that I should probably stop caring altogether. If my normie friends can't accept that my behaviour at /vrg/ meets is likely to be different to my behaviour in public worlds / normie friends+ then they probably aren't worth my time anyway. Likewise if /vrg/ anons can't accept that I may have normie friends drop in from time to time then the same applies.

From now on I have no more fucks to give, I will attend meets more often and just stop overthinking stuff. I'll still be shy and awkward as fuck though, that isn't so easy to untrain overnight

Sometimes my shit bugs out when uploading avatars where at the very end it'll just say "Processing Upload..." with a bar that never goes anywhere, and usually my avatar picture will look stretched out.
