ok, elfslut here with the eye problem. I think I may know whats going on. maybe.

I decided to try a fresh import of the model. I put it through blender, created visemes and eye tracking, and sent it to a brand new unity project. nothing fancy no dynamic bones no fancy shaders, just visemes. uploaded it, and the eye tracking and blinking worked. (and the eyes in the model preview and rig window aren't blank)

so i think the issue may very well be that I put the eye texture in my new fade texture I use for the blush and other facial shapekeys.

specifically, when i put the model (the one im actually using) back in blender and go to the materials tab, my fade texture/material are not in there at all, despite being attatched to my model in unity.

that could be why the eyes dont blink. heres a question now. how do i attach it to the model in blender? just add new texture and put it in there?

You mean you atlasd then separately, deleted other materials, and then exported? Forgetting the 2nd atlas?

If so, you may be unable to separate them easily if you no longer have a backup with separate materials. To have multiple atlases you needed to name both uvmap and then combine. So that way it knows how to use both textures.

Go to the tab with the shape keys in blender and see if you still have your old uv map, you may be able to combine them somehow and tell it to use the eye texture. It's gonna be more difficult though since you can't separate by material then just recombine

this is all beyond me, Im not even sure I actually atlased, it was already 1 material, its just that 1 material orb was like 20 of the same texture distributed differently or something.

it was something someone mentioned, combining all materials, then adding a new material with the shapekey textures so i could set them to fade. but problem is, the heart eyes texture requires that the eye be set to fade too, so I chucked that in there.

what wouldve been a better way to handle that?
