Onward at this time is definitely able to take off compared to any other time of the day, burger hours wise, if you build it they will come. With that said most of the Onwarder people including myself are in the Daft Punk room right now and there's been a lot of vocal complaints about the fps problem so you might be in luck with getting a packed lobby in no time. My frames drop to 10-15 in all of the steam vr games I run after a few minutes (VRChat, ED, SteamVR Home) but it runs a bunch of Oculus store games like Aircar & Robo Recall just fine which makes me wonder if it's a steam issue.

Honestly the weekend is the worst time to ask about other VR games because most people in this thread usually hit VRchat hard on the weekends to party. I'm going through tupper's megatutorial at the moment and I have a bunch of avatars translated and several at various levels of decimation and nothing to show for it in-game. It's kind of demotivating. I feel it'd be a lot easier to get through if it started with linking some avatars that were as easy as possible to get in the game, and walking you through getting those working, and then worked backwards showing how to get progressively less ready avatars to the next stage. So undecimated avatars would be the second last part and untranslated ones the last.

What hes telling you to do is the same as not decimating. Unity splits meshed over 65k. Your avatar would probably end up as 4 meshes when you throw it into VRChat. He is saying to just split it into 4 meshes. Both approaches are equally BAD. Please do not do these. Either spend the time to carefully bring the desired avatars below 65k polygons or give up until we use a version of Unity that doesn't split meshes.

You can un-assign them from their current vertex group in edit mode and assign them to the head vertex with a strength of 1.0 also in the edit mode. All done under the data tab.
Vertex groups are a fucking godsend for checking if you weight painted more or less than you intended too.

As a side note to anons VRC shrinks anything assigned to the head vertex group. If you assign some vertices to the head vertex group with a 0 value (no influence) they will still get shrunk by VRC. Good if you can't see past your scarf.

electric brainlet here about to attempt an xbone kinect to pc solder. I see many online people using 12v AC adapters but I don't see a universally agreed upon amperage.
