Vive Pro is only a marginal improvement over the Vive. If you don't plan on spending an extra $300+ on full body tracking and maybe more for the deluxe audio strap since htc are jews you can get the Rift which has better controllers. You can still do full body with a Rift anyway using a Kinect and software that emulates the vive trackers.

No one has full finger tracking yet, but the touch controllers are natural enough that you forget almost immediately.
Your hold the controller with your ring and pinky fingers. Middle finger goes on the analog "grip" button, index on the analog trigger, thumb gets the stick and two face buttons. All the buttons are capacitive and can tell if you're touching them, so lifting all three fingers is an flat open hand, resting on all three is a relaxed hand and pressing closes the hand smoothly into a fist. Pointing or thumbs up etc is all done as you'd expect by lifting those fingers.

I got a cheap vive og not too long ago. Ive had alot of fun with gorn and that shooting hotdogs game. My only problem is when i try to play a game like kanojo or even the hotdog game, the text is like fucking unreadable if its not immediately in front of my face. Even aiming guns is just like a blur at certain points. Ive fucked around with the eye spacing but it doesnt seem to help. Is it just a product of the shitty resolution screen of the vive?

Text readability is garbage in all headsets at the moment but most games design around it. The angular resolution is just too low to have anything approaching desktop replacement. We need something like 8k screens at a minimum before it becomes acceptable. But in order to drive that sort of display with current gpu tech you'd really need to have foveated rendering. This would also let you have eye tracking which would be pretty cool.

About to set up Driver4VR with a Kinect and Joycon for feet rotation. Do I need a hip tracker?

Is this the point where I just say fuck it and override the SDK limit, or are there more super sekrit techniques to try?

Probably dumb question here. How do I stop my dynamic bone roots from treating the entire bone tree as a dynamic object?

Pic related: I have a root "skirt" bone as a parent of 2 bones that rest on the sides of the hips. The 2 bones on the hips should be basically affixed to the sides of the hips and pivoting from their own base/pivot points, but they're instead pivoting from the root bone, causing them to slide around along the leg instead of how I want them to act. I have this issue with hair too, where the entire head of hair moves rather than each "strand" of hair moving from its own fixed base.

You're mixing two different things I guess. You want to parent the things on the hips to your leg bones if you want them to move with the legs. That way they'll respect the leg movements.

As for hair strands, you would need to use a separate dynamic bone script for each hair and exclude all the other strands from their roots, but no one actually does that.

Accusations are one thing. What we have is an allegation. There was a session a few nights ago, where reportedly some people admitted to shitposting and offending others in /vrg/.
Naming someone without evidence is wrong, I agree. But unless we can prove that the report of the night is false information, it remains that somebody did something.
I cannot stand by and let people backstab each other. If there's a problem, we must find the source.
I would recommend that the involved people come forward themselves. I would forgive them. However, I don't think the rest of /vrg/ would do the same, so I understand that's a rough spot to be in.
It's possible this is little more than a matter of bad alcohol. People who don't have true malice towards anyone here, but were just drunk enough to completely take the piss. I've seen this before in some other facet of life, and I doubt I'm the only one. If that's the case, the best solution for now is to let it go and hope the involved people train themselves to drink responsibly. I kinda hope this is what happened, it'd be the easiest to deal with. Besides, if they don't stop, they will strike again, and we will find them eventually. Drunks cannot consistently conspire.
