The only thing I can think of is to re make what ever fix you wanted to do by using the new shapekey function and making that the new basis.

Steps.
(1) Create new shapekey
(2) Set that to 100
(3) Go to edit mode, make the fixes you want to do
(4) Rename your current basis into "basis(old)"
(5) Rename new shapekey you made into "basis" and place it on the top
(6) Place your "basis(old)" into the bottom.
(7) DO NOT DELETE "basis(old)"

What should happen is that your fixes are made permanent while everything else from before aren't broken.

I don't have a Vive I tested them at a buiseness fair in cologne and have multiple friends using one. It is a shitty Headset on base but yes, the modularity allows for upgrades like the knuckle controller. Regardless of how expensive it is, that is not the point.

You can pay not 2 but 3x or even 4x times as much to make it slightly better in certain areas of comfort than the rift. Audio and Wear for example. I suffer a lot under the Rift because it's still missing a better mount for glasses unlike the vive. I'd still buy a Rift over a Vive everyday.

If not you'll have to make sure that it moves a vert or something in Blender so that it has data to import.
