It's not my job or my place to make decisions like that for the community all by myself. If the community comes to some kind of consensus on the topic that's fine and I'll do what needs to be done, then no problem.
Asking me to just take care of it puts me in the position of making a decision for the community that I don't have the right to make, and makes me the central figure in a drama storm that I don't have a strong opinion about. Asking me to just do it isn't fair to either me or the community.

That's fine actually, VRChat is fantastic for getting into 3d modeling, rigging, shaders, particle systems, map making, etc, even if you're not into anime. Being able to experience and walk around in/with your 3D creations in VR is really motivating compared to flatscreen 3D, I find.

Anime dominates VRChat because 1) MMD models are commonly available and easy to import, 2) realistic characters just aren't possible in VR without hitting the uncanny valley, even worse than flat games. That being said, non-anime video game character rips work fine though, e.g. Gmod, Halo. A few threads back you can see the screenshots on non-anime day, plenty of variety there.
