Why is the IK getting worse? Now I'm always leaning forward, hovering slightly, my forearms twist the wrong way, and my facial features are shifted 2 inches up. I had none of these problems until recently.

VRChat devs are fucked. I did find a workaround for the forearm twist though. When you're calibrating, try turning your wrists either forward or backward, instead of leaving your palms facing downward like the T-pose would suggest. It might depend on your armature, but twisting my wrists so that my palms are facing backward (on the rift) makes the forearm twist scuff a lot less noticable.

*make head connected to neck
*scale neck to 0.01
*add 'vertex weight mix' modifier
- group A = head
- group B = neck
- mix mode = add
- mix set = all
- apply

Do not touch the weight painting of the neck because it's done in a completely different way to MMDs.

Anons, I now present and invite you to The Open Talk Experiment v1.2!

This is for all of you who had limited yourself from talking too much to people out of fear that you'd be annoying or bothering them. This is also now a place to make new friends in! You can participate even if all you want is for people to talk more with you. If you have too much talking already going on in your life then you probably don't want to join.

In this experiment, participants will join a chatless Discord server, and will see the other participants involved. Participants will then be aware that they are allowed to talk with any of the other participants freely, without holding back. In other words, by joining this Discord server, you are telling everyone that you wouldn't mind being messaged, even to the point that it may seem annoying, and also that you yourself may be someone who will do the same to others!

Since it doesn't have a chat, the Discord server essentially just acts as a list, which you can use to tell who you can DM and talk to whenever you want.

However, due to new feedback, we are now aware that this server may also act as a place for people to make new friends and have new conversations with. Some also seem to have not gotten any conversation. To remedy that, a Discord role, or label you can get, has been added. DM the experimenter to change your role, and allow for 24 hours before you see a change.

For me personally it's that they tend to be rather all over the place, especially with full body models.
There are settings that can keep them looking good, but the vast majority (i.e. public stuff) tend to keep them so that any simple motion can set the tail off on a flopping spree with no real discernible emotion tied to them.

I like to use the tail as a way to enhance the emotion the face already displays, much like how you can tell an animal's mood based on the tail motions. Dynamic Bones simply don't let you do that.

With a surprising display of alacrity, these chinkshit magnetic USB cables I ordered arrived in just two weeks. No, because that removes the neck weight painting. Removing a vertex group is probably the most retarded way I can think of removing unwanted weight painting.

Any blender gurus that know anything about weight painting?
Did the full body fix where you shorten the neck bone and increase the size of the head bone, transfer the weights from the neck to the head, and then delete the neck weights. It looks like the vertexes that were weighted to the neck are now unweighted in game and just follow the root bone but in blender that area is weighted to the head bone. Pic related.
Going to try reverting my changes to the weight painting but keep the bone length change and see if that fixes it but I would like to know what specifically went wrong here. When I uploaded it to unity I had to re-add the neck bone into the rigging.
Actually looking at it again, I might have used the cats fix that removes unweighted bones after removing the neck's weights. The save file I have in blender is older than the finished product before I used the cats model fix but damn am I glad I saved a backup before I made any changes to the bones. Though even if that is the case and I did delete the neck bone after transferring its weights to the head bone, the neck area should move with the head rather than doing whatever it's doing now, right?

Unfortunately there are like 3 face models and what the game does is just save what changes you made in the character creator. So you'd have to to make the changes yourself to one of the base faces in blender. Or alternatively you could find some game that does actually export your face as a model, remake your face, and frankenstein that on top of your monhun model.
It is do-able to rip stuff from mhw though, I'm working re-rigging the chef now for shits and giggles.

You can select the offending edges, and go to mesh>edges>bridge edge loops and it will take care of those pesky mesh tears.

you should try to isolate and remove doubles of meshes like these before you deform them because stuff like this happens but you can fix it by using the magnet snap then choosing to snap the vertex to vertex/edge/face and closing the hole that way then removing doubles too weld it back together so they wont split when deformed
or the cheeky easy way to do it is just to select all the edges around the whole and and ctrl + E to bring up edge options then select make face
the making a new face way sometimes uses the right UV position but sometimes the UV's of the new face will need to be positioned so it looks the same as the surrounding faces

easier than making a model from scratch by a wide margin. Making an optimized lag free world is a little harder because unity 5.6 sucks donkey dick with lighting.
Use probuilder and slap textures on things.
You can also make a world by using primitives and just placing things all around. It's really not hard.
You could even use sketchup, or other architectural software and build something beautiful and bring it in. Meshes above 50 million poly are no big deal for a world since the whole world gets "bundled" by unity. The only things that cause lag in worlds are realtime lights and particles.
Use a single mixed lighting source and bake your lights everywhere else, done deal.
Weight painting and armatures and character design from scratch is infinitely harder.
