If you're not doing any of that and you're using virtual stock, with the foregrip hand stiff and rigid and the main hand braced against the forehands bicep/elbow then you may have a legitimate tracking problem.

So I tried minecraft VR on a modpack I used to play and while it's amazing to be surrounded by the game I played so long on flat, there seems to be very little VR controler support from mods. For example I can't seem to use JEI at all, no buttons or text box work for looking up items. And I can't even seem to right click items like toggle cyclic charm in the screenshot, even though right clicking for everything else works in my inventory.
I assume the limited number of buttons on controllers also wouldn't work great with special mod keybinds such as backpacks, mode changes for items like wrenches and jet packs, tool belt etc.
It's at the point where it's playable and teasing me but would end up being a burden sometimes and smoother on just keyboard and mouse.

Did anyone else play it and what kind of experience did you have?

I tried to fix some of the issues with minecraft VR again today and surprisingly(unsurprisingly) a lot of mod compatibility with VR seems to have been resolved with updating the mods. JEI gave me a lot of issues still and despite having completely broken button setup for it atm, it somehow works ok as long as I keep main focus on minecraft window.
Not all is good though as I keep finding new items that don't work in VR, like TConstruct's slime sling. Which for some reason becomes erect and auto equips to my off-hand weapon preventing me from actually using it. I tried putting a weapon or shield on the off-hand weapon slot but the sling just overwrites it. I'm not sure what causes it but as soon as I switch to non-VR controller input it goes back to main hand.
As this used to be my main way to get around I decided to finally try elytra wings as an alternative. I've never used them before but boy was I blown away by how awesome it feels to fly around. I must have spent good 10min before calming down.
I hope I can get a survival world going soon and actually make use of this mechanic but FPS seems to be another issue I have to deal with. Currently I'm normally hovering at around 45-50 FPS in a fresh world with 115 mods and while it doesn't give me a headache it's definitely noticeable.

From what I can tell pavlov's revolver doesn't have properly zeroed sights, whereas most of the other weapons seem to be fine. Don't know how accurate it is at far distances though. The reloading is a bit annoying.

I'm running on a GTX 760 with a Core i7 3770k and can run almost any vr game as of yet close to 30fps.

Yeah, only the hmd + controllers (+ trackers) are sent over the network, your client is doing the IK for every player from those points. Though honestly, I don't know how much is the IK itself, vs. just the the skinned mesh rendering in general. Skinning is expensive. You could have each player broadcasting their full skinned armature pose to everyone else to save on IK, but unity still needs to deform the mesh accordingly, which I guess just takes a lot of CPU.

Some napkin math:
(3 float position + 3 float euler angle rotation) * 40 bones * 30 people / 50ms updates = 576 kBps. So definitely doable. But like I said before I think most of it is the skinned mesh renderer, not redoing the IK calculations.

We even did a test where we all got into 1 material 1 mesh no dynamic bone avatars and it still lagged like hell because the IK and voice are horrible and the real causes of this game's FPS woes. I'd estimate the reason everyone in this game has shit frames is probably 70% the game's fault, 30% player's unoptimized avatars fault. There's also unoptimized garbage maps, but those are easy to deal with, you just avoid them. Can't avoid the game's awful code though.

There's a checkbox for "experimental GPU skinning" in the player settings. But obviously doesn't work in the vrchat client itself, and from the cursory googling I did last time, it's not a solution for dynamic armature deformations that we care about, e.g. based on IK or input, it's instead a technique for baking canned animations into a buffer that gets put into GPU memory, so you can animate giant battle scenes with lots of little NPCs animating, where the skinning happens entirely on the GPU instead of the CPU pushing deformed vertices for everything.
