These videos are very laggy. Even my networking breaks down at one point and people are running in place and presents are floating. We had 58 people in the world before the event started, and people kept pouring in after that. My estimate is that we had around 70 people in there.

It was a wonderful event. It really did feel like a big family meetup. Thanks to Yuki for doing a lot of the organization and Blue for making the map, and everyone else who helped out. The grinches did a great job too.

I haven't felt magic like this since that one time I convinced everyone to dress up as maids. I'm really happy that we made it to Christmas (despite some people thinking we wouldn't) and I can't wait to see you guys at another event like this again next Christmas.

Something I have been thinking about recently is VR arena/stadium watching. I doubt something like VRchat with all the avatars would work but it sounds pretty cool to me. I was thinking of some sort of good combat sports game for VR came out maybe involving mecha/robots or something trying to achieve some goal, and with an e-sports following people can come in and watch the matches.

But yeah, most of the reward is actually discovering the hidden room itself or figuring out the puzzle, which gives you a "I'm seeing something not many other people have seen" type of feeling. For explorers like myself, that's a good feeling to have.

They're really high poly/object though at least as imported directly, stretching the limits of unity and blender to deal with. It's kind of fun in a way, we'll try to post more progress as we work through it. I believe with proper mesh merging and optimization we can make it real though.

One of the /vrg/ managers here. I'm sorry we couldn't bring it home this time, we put out a team we thought was good enough but a combination of luck and some defensive players not playing up to snuff led to the 4-3 loss. I was honestly afraid that people will be really pissed off after tasting failure when we never did during the first championship run but people have overall been great about it.

I admit that when I first started lurking and posting in /vrg/ and contributing to the team my goal was to add as much non-VRChat related content to /vrg/ as possible. It wasn't really my thing but I still loved VR and wanted to share the magic with others. As I have spent more time with /vrg/ in VRChat after my client can finally play videos again (thank you Tupper and Aev) I've really grown to enjoy this community. I still want us to find other games to explore and enjoy (let's do a Bridge Crew night!) but I am having more fun in VRChat than I ever really imagined when I first played it in summer 2017. I look forward to bringing the VGL back home next year.

I'm not sure about the rest of you lot but I personally had a drinking problem before VR because at first it eases me up, let's me actually relax. Especially on my time off when I'm not at work talking with coworkers and customers. Splitting is a dumb idea, it will kill the non-vrc thread and people will just discuss general VR in the vrc thread.

Instead of whining constantly about vrg, put effort into building interest in games that aren't vrc. Host pavlov lobbies, post webms from other games, get people playing the forest, etc. Ironically it's only ever people who also enjoy vrc that do these things. Really makes you think doesn't it?
