I had a dream where we were doing anime karaoke in vrchat and I could sing perfectly well in japanese as well as pellek and everyone was amazed

What about the ones that keep moving away and block your avatar?
>>238319867
Then I try again another time. I haven't had anyone seriously shy away from me or go as far as to block my avatar just because I want to show them that I, if anything, appreciate them being around.

i think it's kind of weird so i move away if it lasts a while, not gonna block anyone for it though

they didn't have jitter correction but they do now, so they re-added it.
and yes, I do have to say the team has really buckled down. I wonder if they're using a loose waterfall model instead of agile and that's why we're seeing everything all at once.

VRChat isn't good, just better than the alternatives. It could only be considered good because of the community and player created content.
Skyrim and Fallout are decent ports of the worst games in their respective series. These basically need mods to be good, just like Beat Saber.
SUPERHOT VR is the only real competition. The gameplay is good, but I don't think it has enough content.
>>238319070
todd does not need help. Their games sold so well they're now blind to what users actually want and think they can do no wrong.
I doubt they're going to keep making vr games. VRCHAT deserves it. I hope valve acquires them and gives the whole team steam headsets like they did for onward.

Swipe their feet out from under them with the polearm/claymore/axe mod. Or slash at their toes and open them up from above. Or feint a high attack, then come with a close pommel strike to get over their shield and hit them in the head. Or use an axe and rip the shield out with the hook. Use your goddamn imagination.

>>238321808
the one thing that makes vrchat really good is the avatar model which closely mimics xbot/ybot from mixamo and mmd, and uses oculus's vocal shape system, which makes it REALLY easy to make avatars, which for everyone is way the fuck more important than making worlds which is quite frankly easier and better in every other vr virtual world right now.
Plus they don't bitch about anime. I uploaded an mmd model I actually had obtained the rights to use to sansar (I know, fuck me) and some fucking literal 50yo boomer lost her mind over a subtle screenspace shader effect and denied it without checking with me first.
Any platform that is downright hostile to the 1% of users who actually know enough to use their sdk and upload things is doomed to fail.
I can see it now. VRChat keeps getting better. More and more optimization. More and more features. Scripting. Then good user content starts rolling in. And then, we will have another golden age of VRChat!
>>238321787
You should turn on right eye rendering in the options. Uzi pro is a literal meme because it should be semi only.
>We are opening up the Open Beta for VRChat 2018.4.4 right now, and we'd like you to check out some of the changes-- there's a lot of them! Here's a short list:
- Stations (seats/chairs) can once again be mounted on avatars
- World Favorites are now Playlists, which can be shared with friends! You also get three seperate lists now!
- VRChat SDK now warns you when your avatar is over recommended limits on various performance-affecting components
- VRChat SDK polygon limit raised to 70,000 polygons/triangles
- An icon indicating the Performance Rank of a user's avatar is displayed over their nameplate when your Quick Menu is open
- You can now view Avatar Stats for another user's avatar/your own avatar in the Quick Menu/Avatar menu. This is not meant to be an end-all-be-all report on perf, but can help you find issues with avatars that you need to fix/optimize
- If a user is wearing a Public avatar (and they have "Allow Avatar Cloning" enabled in Settings, on by default), you can Clone their avatar from the Quick Menu
- You can now View Avatar Author of anyone to see who uploaded the avatar that user is wearing
- You can view the author of anyone's avatar in the Quick Menu
- Heavy optimizations to the IK system
- Heavy fixes to the smoothness of moving stations
- Tons of other fixes
This isn't everything, but it is the big stuff. Read the full release notes here: https://docs.vrchat.com/v2018.4.4/docs/latest-release
Check out the info on the Avatar Performance system here: https://docs.vrchat.com/v2018.4.4/docs/avatar-performance-ranking-system

Asking again, so now that animeheaven is due to be shut down on the 25th, is there any other streaming site that has youtube.dlls for VRChat?
Was considering buying the forest then read this.
"Defend yourself against a clan of genetic mutant enemies that have beliefs, families, morals and that appear almost human"
The fuck does this mean? If it isn't bullshit or exaggeration and means exactly as it says, i'd buy this game for the AI alone.

You still have to mark them as public in the SDK for that to take effect. If you're one of those people who set all their avatars as public attempting to cheat the trust system to think you're sharing content, then turn the cloning setting off on your first log in. That's all.

If you live somewhere desirable your leasing office/landlord is not likely to do anything other than collect your rent and find reasons to keep your deposit when you move out. Also they may change the least midway through and demand you buy renters' insurance or they'll raise your rent. Then raise your rent anyway because what are you going to do about it when a lease on a new place requires a credit score over 740 and three months rent up front with three favorable references from previous landlords?

>>238331306
>Impossible to keep Onward alive
Blame the fact that it was a tent simulator more than an actual game.
Anyone who's interested in VR racing sims should pick up Assetto Corsa. It's $10 for the base game and $20 with all of the DLC right now on Steam. I might try to get a server set up sometime if there's enough interest.

I trap people a bit for fun as a mute, I wanna be able to say maybe a couple words in a girly voice so they don't think I'm a dude then keep up the mute charade till I drop my "Lemme stick my dick in your ass, sweetcheeks" when they go in for the hug/headpats, but how to actually do the voice training I have no clue. I also wanna do other voices for fun, but trapping is easier then acting a character.
>>238333654

>>238331223
>>238331662
Not him, but I'll try to explain. The guns in Pavlov have no sense of lethality to them. It's not just the damage model, all the sounds and visuals involved provide no visceral feedback. It's most evident when exchanging fire at a distance so it takes a few seconds and you really notice there's no real sense of danger. Just some amplied oofs for the enemy, subdued oofs for the player, and odd flinching on hits that probably looks worse than if there wasn't any. Heavy armor in Contractors actually has a similar damage model to Pavlov, but it doesn't feel as tanky at all due to the aesthetic; especially on the receiving end because your vision is completely fucked. Pavlov also checks hits serverside which sometimes leads to phantom hits and perceivable delays. Pavlov is good from a competitive standpoint because of the readability, but doesn't feel good. As for operation of the guns themselves, Pavlov lags behind Onward, and necessarily lags behind singleplayer games, so it's a bad example of desirable firearm simulation. War Dust, now that feels like total shit. It's actually amazing how they even achieved such a level of anti-immersion.

Huh, you made sure that the gameobject with the pp volume is on the same layer as the camera's pp layer script? Check the settings to match https://gitlab.com/s-ilent/SCSS/wikis/Other/Post-Processing .
I dunno if it's true or not, but I've also heard that setting vrchat'd quality to VRLow settings disables postprocessing entirely. Maybe try vrhigh and see if that's the case.

There are games that support sitting or standing experiences. Just stay away from anything that says roomscale. I'm going to second >>238339876 and say that WMR is probably your best bet. Most of its disadvantages are from trying to use it roomscale, so sitting and standing experiences are where it shines the best, and you don't even need to set up any sensors/lighthouses in your room. Plug it in and it just werks. The PSVR is also pretty much only seated experiences so that's always an option, but people will probably fag out about it getting recommended. I say this all as someone that owns a PSVR, Rift, and Odyssey+.

Making a cute snowglobe map. First time using probuilder for some roughing out, and speedtree treesfrom cgpeersare pretty kino. I want a proper glass refraction shader for the crystal part though, and need to fill out that log cabin in the back.
Also the unity terrain is square, so the edges are leaking out. I think I can just lower the height to -1000 or something an dhope people won't see, but kind of annoying. Dunno if there's a better way to hide the corners of a terrain mesh.

I used v1 postprocessing just fine in vrchat in 5.6, and v2 has worked fine in 2017.4 for me. How are you installing v2? cloning the github project into your assets dir? Just as sanity, maybe try making a new unity project, import v2 postprocessing and the vrc sdk, setting up camera, pp, etc, cranking up the bloom to high levels, and seeing if you can at least get that to work. Something might be fucked with your project on its own.
>>238342281
>ill look up WMR. I want to avoid phone VR. Thanks a ton
Windows Mixed Reality (WMR) is much better than phone VR. In fact, the Odyssey+ has the best display on the market unless you consider the Vive Pro or Pimax, which cost 2 to 3 times more. WMR supports SteamVR games, so you can play anything that the Vive can play. And it also supports most Rift games through ReVive. There are also its own native games on the Microsoft Store.
>I'm just afraid of punching my screen or anything. maybe i can just roll my chair back and play like that possibly. Any recommendations with motion control then? ill look at both options
Put a pillow in front of it? You'll want motion controls. If you get a WMR headset make sure to get one that comes with the WMR controllers. Pic related. It's virtually impossible to buy them standalone from a headset, so you can't pick them up later if your headset doesn't come with them.

I also apparently don't have my native country's accent at all.

correct, built in bluetooth, since the first game had awful connectivity problems
>>238350424

The Quest will unironically be a huge step forward. Next year won't be the year everyone gets one, but all-in VR with no cables and no setup will be available for under 400 and people will notice. It's also not fun to perform grindy MMO tasks in a low-detail world from a first-person perspective when everything is a repetitive physical action instead of a button press.

The fuck is causing this?
Some screenshots.
Tonight was a public episode.
Do USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports and USB 3.1 Gen 2 ports share the same host controller on the motherboard? The reason I'm asking is because the Oculus Rift support site specifies to only connect two sensors to USB 3.0 and my third one to USB 2.0 in order to avoid bandwidth issues since USB 3.0 and 2.0 don't share the same host controller (https://www.oculus.com/blog/oculus-roomscale-balancing-bandwidth-on-usb/). My motherboard, however, offers USB 3.1 Gen 2, 3.1 Gen 1, and 2.0 ports, so could I connect two sensors to Gen 2 ports and the third to a Gen 1 port and have the same thing apply or do those both share the same host controller/bandwidth?

Did you not read the notes? The changes gave me another 10fps in typical 10+ avatar situations. All I want now is the option to filter avatars out based on their performance hit now that we 'finally' have a means of seeing which avatar in the room is the one fucking the framerate up.

it's clear they wanted to push the update before the holidays, and so they pushed it without even bugfixing from the beta.the open beta was like what, all of a day or so? and according to some people, even some bugs from the closed beta still havent been fixed.

When he left and away from them all his frames returned to normal again in other groups. Error now has to reflect on what caused this, it was a poor test and rant for what is being debunked as something on his friends avatars and their world. Now truth seeking is what is on those friends worlds or friends avatars killing frames in this vrchat version and not the last version, which is a very interesting question.

They probably will expand it. The 3 limit was likely just a probe to see how the community takes it, like yeah we can save avatars now but it’s only 3. Then most people liked the new feature so they added yoinking on the spot, which is another fun feature people seem to like.
I just hope they add a favorite feature for your own private avatars, because I have almost 100 avatars and it is a pain going through the list.

True, molesters usually go for targets that are yielding and meek, if you assert dominance they will usually be unable to take the return pressure and will back off, seems to work on most randoms in public worlds
>>238364307
Yeah I'm not sure why people praise it as the killer VR game, it's just a puzzle game and basically any other game with both combat and toggleable slow motion make you feel like much much more of a badass (Sairento, Blade and Sorcery, GORN)
>>238366964
GORN's quite a bit more satisfying and has bosses, custom arena, weapons to unlock, etc whereas SPT is a fucking tech demo even at full release. Shouldn't be more than $5 but every sale it drops to $8.
>>238370353
Same controller most likely, it depends on your motherboard. However it's probably not an issue, since 3.1g1 ports IIRC have more bandwidth than you can saturate with two cameras. an anon actually put all three of his cameras on an active USB 3.1g2 hub and only used up one port on his motherboard with no bandwidth issues.

I got elite dangerous a few days ago, It's kinda slow but if you have OVRdrop, which allows you to put your desktop or a window into VR(Which is what all the twitch streamers use to check their chat when rotating their hands), you can watch netflix or anime or whatever which makes it pretty comfy.
If you only have 1 monitor though you'll need to remap your controls and never use your mouse to click, or get a joystick thing. If you have two monitors it should be fine, have your mouse stuck on one monitor by putting elite on fullscreen, while having your videos play on the second one where it will get sent over to the headset.

Odyssey+ has SDE in the form of blur instead of a grid. Preferable, but not unnoticeable.
>>238411050
Hopefully it'll be a lot more consumer friendly then, being more accessible and able to read without hurting your eyes would be great

Eleven as in the table tennis game? Not sure it's for me but thanks
>>238411450
It's dirt cheap and I know it's some space thing which is why I'm considering it but I have the feeling it's one of those hard to get into or long grind kind of games. Is it similar to EVE at all?
Watching shows in space would be pretty comfy though

I'm on the edge about buying Skyrim VR - I haven't played it since 2011 and don't own any of the special editions or DLC.
Contractors looks too much like Onward, the game is not fast-paced enough.
Considering buying Fallout 4 VR, but held back because there is no way to play the DLC in VR and you don't get a desktop version of the game with your purchase. Also apparently buggy as hell.
>>238412707
Have you tried OrbusVR? The mmo? I'm 50/50 on it but I like the idea behind it.
Also looking forward to Nostos when that comes out, we need more VRMMO's
>>238412707
>>238412891
Skyrim is also probably worth it if you never tried any of the DLC and haven't played in that long.
I liked Fallout 4 although the motion sickness was worst in that game for me out of all the others. You can play the DLC as well by apparently just adding it to the steam folder... yeah, and there's mods online to fix any bugs
>>238412891
>OrbusVR

>>238405715
You're still getting a binocular image. The quality of the experience however is shit.
>>238413413
I bought it while it was on sale using my free Oculusbux and still regret the purchase.
>>238412445
I only have one monitor so put off playing it until my joystick got delivered, but I put a couple hours into it. I'd say so far its kind of like EVE, but as if the EVE devs made the game with single player in mind. Haven't played EVE in a while but the combat is prettty cool in this game, you have to actually maneuver your ship and practically do dogfights in space with your various weapons, you have to figure out how to maneuver your ship based on the enemies movements so you can hit them while trying not to get hit yourself and since there are so many ways to move in space it feels pretty awesome finally taking one down. Despite that i'm going miner/trader mode for now which is where the tv in space stuff will come into play a lot, theres also meant to be ground exploration and an evolving world, haven't experienced that yet buts its certainly a good game, particularly for VR.
>>238413413

>>238412707
Contractors is fast paced as fuck actually. The cap phases are relatively short and they move around fast enough to prevent the game boggling down. I main light armor and a G3 so I can run around sanic fast and get those sweet 2shot kills.
Also it has sliding. You can dagumi around a corner and headshot someone if you're good.

Yeah, I agree. It’s a lot less fun/wholesome than it used to be. VR whores are all over the place, one minute they are new and have like a nanachi avatar or something, then a few months later they are using a shimakaze avatar with tattoos and slut written on it. It will never be as good as it was December of last year.
Admit it. You raced to optimize your avatars before the update exposed you.

>>238415375
My avatars are optimized because of the new rules for avatar worlds, otherwise would have been exposed. I have to update my 3 main avatars though. I think the material count is like 14 on them or something.
>>238415375
I just made a new version with 32k polys from 59k, and removed the two dynamic bones and colliders that were only active on a gesture anyway. Ironically, my unrigged avatar is no longer the most optimized by their assessment because it has too many polys.
>>238415050
Legit never experienced anything like that in VR chat, the closest thing I got to was some guy who played a mute had one of his friends fall for him, and was going on about how he didn't expect the friend to be gay now he speaks and doesn't know how to deal with having a boyfriend.
Elite dangerous has no motion controls, but they honestly aren't necessary, depending on where you look around your cockpit, menus will automatically pop up which you can control with keyboard buttons. You never leave your cockpit i'm pretty sure and your characters model always has his hands on the thrust+joystick so its kinda unrealistic having motion controls, if you want immersion buying an actual joystick+thrust control with buttons on them would be better than motion controls for this type of game, in fact the ones I ordered pretty much look exactly like the in game ones.
>>238415530

Pixel Ripped 1989 is on sale right now. I played the demo way back in the dk2 days and it's a weird indy title that makes fairly good use of seated vr.
Not that it matters who made it, but rare girls who can actually program, who make actually good games and are not tied to an agenda or dgaf tend to have extremely unique ideas, so you get some pretty weird but generally interesting shit.
Carly and the reaper man is another really good one that flies under the radar, you can do that just standing (though someone has to be on the desktop with at least a controller too).
of course, any and all sims are seated, like flyinside, elite, project cars 2 and others.

superspeed usb 3.0, usb 3.0, usb 3.1, and usb 2.0 controllers will always be different controllers. Different HUBBED controllers will always have a seperate header on your motherboard (they'll usually not be side by side, so generally groups of 2 ports) and occupy a unique addressed hardware lane on your mainboard. Most people do not plug a SS usb 3.0 IO plate into their motherboards (usually just the front panel) and they often have more than one 2.0 8 pin port available too. I highly recommend that you buy a 10$ io plate and do it up, doing this has MASSIVE benefits for vr tracking performance. Seperate things out if you can.
Also disable HPET and CSM in your uefi bios and enable xhci and ehci handoff. (ideally before installing windows) and disable ahci support for your nvme drive and go with raid if you have it/have one. These things can make for huge performance gains overall especially for vr, especially on ryzen, especially if you do a fresh install of windows 10 1809.

>>238421286
I just use favorites as a place to stick games I'm playing through, since I have so many they can be hard to find, it's almost too many that making a selection when I'm standing in the steam environment is tough.
I recommend doom 3 with vr mod over it doom vfr, HOWEVER
but here's some things people don't know:
they added free locomotion in a recent patch,
performance is good now
it bridges the story between the doom games and functions as a prequel with info you can't get anywhere else, and I think at a discount it's worth a playthrough if you don't mind buying something to play it once. Like many vr games, not much replay value, but a great little romp for a while. You're super overpowered, I recommend playing it on max difficulty from the get go.

I'm a huge pussy when it comes to horror games in general, and VR just multiplies that 10-fold.
Can't even do Subnautica cause of it.
>>238425609
For good reason cunt
>>238424987
>waiting for multiplayer
You'll probably be waiting forever then. Anton just implements whatever he wants, instead of what there's any demand for. A lot of things he claims are 'impossible' until he suddenly changes his mind. Even if he did change his mind of multiplayer, I think he'd implement it as poorly as possible.
will i eventually get used to the discomfort?
also headset with 4k for each eye when
>>238425609
>Do you talk?
Kinda, I usually am a mute and don't speak at all when I join a world doing hand gestures and emojis instead, but I will if I think it's for a good reason.
>>238425332
I assume most people wouldn't have that. I do though.
>>238425342
if you think brookhaven's wave shooter is scary you're out of your mind, there's some truly terrifying vr shit. I noped the fuck out of Greenwater a few times before I beat it.
dead space 2 IS vr, you should buy it, I've been meaning to go back to it, but doom 3 bfg edition with the vr mod is better.
>>238425562
yeah, it's fucking awesome.
Racket:NX is really good too and more people should play it. It's got the best mulitplayer netcode and sound out of every vr game I've ever played but nobody is in it.
if you like racket games Holoball is crazy good too. I've got a cheevo I don't think anyone else in the world besides the devs have, I used to play it a lot when there was not much else out.
>>238425828
yes, sim sickness is mechanically the same as sea sickness, you get used to it. Take alcohol or motion sickness medication in the meantime if you can't handle it.

Ive been wanting to get it since its free but I just know it'll go in the list of games I won't play because I'm a little bitch

>dead space 2 IS vr, you should buy it
Fuck no. First play through I did probably 20 minutes of progress a day since that's all I could tolerate. I'm 26 and still shit myself seeing my own shadow sometimes thinking someone is stood around the corner or behind me

you can supersample to 4kper eye now, but you don't need it with subsample diffuser screens going to be in every headset soon and it would be a bitch for performance.
>>238425828
>discomfort
you're doing something wrong. Where are you getting discomfort?
>>238426008
this. One or two drinks and you'll get zero motion sickness.
stand on on foot with your eyes closed and try to balance too, the less you rely on your vision for balance the less it'll bug you.
Some people have been saying lately that if they stand sideways and imagine they're on a skateboard when moving forward in vr, they don't feel simsickness. Don't use smooth rotation (use snap turn) and try to engage your whole body when you turn, not just your head. That part takes getting used to but once you get it you'll be fine.
>>238427068
They're not necessarily doing anything wrong. Some people get motion sickness when starting with VR.
>>238426736

I LOVE vr horror so much, alien was great, dreadhalls is good but the close quarters walls can induce vr sick, there's lots of games though.
The forest of course. I want more truly pants shitting horror because I'm not a babby and can handle lots.
>>238423881
Sounds right.
Anyone tried Bigscreen Beta? Finally got around to trying it today, get yourself a decent set of headphones and it's like being at the cinema.
The picture doesn't do it justice at all
>>238428456
Problem is that you're getting the low-pixel count version shown by the headset
>>238428456
It's nice, but the smaller group sizes sadly kills it for watching with pals.
Though cinema technology in VRChat has progressed enough to get that nice movie going effect as well.
>>238428707
True, depends on the film I guess. Like with games it seems less noticable once you get into it.
>>238428742
There's a big room mode from what I saw, or at least I had 8 people in a lobby watching some livestream a little while ago. Only downside is only the host can show their desktop
>>238428456
We used to do movie nights in Bigscreen until /vrg/ got too big for it. It's pretty useful, but the peer-to-peer networking makes it awkward if your upload speed isn't great.

bigscreen movie nights were comfy
really felt like an event, everyone was explicitly there to watch the movie, there wasn't too much or too little talking, and the movie theater atmosphere was convincing
I'm starting to hate movie nights in VRC because everyone sits at the back wall of the theater and only a fourth of the instance seems actually invested in the movie
>>238424987
H3 is likely never gonna have multiplayer because of the way it's built, and it's not really a multiplayer game even in the sandbox sense. Also, with a little imagination, it does most of what other VR SP shooters can do in a single game.
>>238427068
>Where are you getting discomfort?
The back of my head where the little triangle is (oculus)
>>238428456
yep, I know one of the devs. He worked on an early project called "convrge" (that is now defunct) where all the early users used to hang out. The room you're showing here is actually pulled from that old code, it was like a big low poly campfire environment we all used to hang out in. They used to have industry people meets in there, like the guys making Razer's hdk and senaptix SDK that ALMOST took hold.
I showed him some webm desktop streaming tricks using vlc early on when we were all scrubs. It's come really far and with things like Nvidia Geforce Now it's just a matter of time before we'll be playing full on multiplayer AAA games inside vrchat too, I imagine.
>>238429330
Getting positional audio and ambient emission light right is 90% of the experience. VR theaters inside vrchat can be legitimately 5.1 or more, if your source is. It seems the vrchat devs really care a lot about music and audio, almost more than they should given it's utility inside the game.
If you use a speaker placement tool https://www.atlasied.com/speakerplacementtool before making your map or follow this advice you can create something truly immersive:

>>238419497
I'm gonna drink a fuck ton on Christmas Eve, which is going to make waking up early the next day very awkward.
>>238430335
ahh see, I figured it was that and not simsickness.
The triangle is either too high or two low and probably too tight.
you want it to be like a ballcap and it should be counterbalancing the weight on your face and head. Play with the relief and top strap a little. You don't want it too tight, it can be more loose then you think, and you probably want the headset's back area to be lower rather than higher.
>>238430207
Some people lay back so being closer to the screen could hurt your neck. I lower voices to 60%
>>238425782
>Letting fans design games
it's his game, you're just playing it.
>>238428456
I like it for watching PPVs people can drop in for a little bit and talk about wrestling. The small room size keeps the focus on whats on the screen. I wish you could change your size, or fly or something, i'd like to be able to draw on the screen in cinema mode

It's just frustrating that he's a good developer but a terrible designer. The potential if he just built the core systems, but allowed players to modify everything else.

>>238430817
>>238430714
Hey fellow theater makers, I've been planning on making one myself but I'm really busy.
Things I would do based on /vrg/ meetup experiences: change the avatar audio settings in the vrc world options so you can only hear the persons sitting directly next to you, and make each row of seating far enough that nobody can hear each other in front or behind them, alternately, put a local only effect button somewhere in the world that sets the audio distance so people can choose who they want to hear.
I recommend groups of 2, 3 or 4 chairs tops (see attached) we have something here called "vip" cinema where they'll bring you food and drinks off a menu and all the seats have little tables in between for couples. It's 18 only and all the seats are far apart enough that nobody can hear anyone else, and nobody is in the way.
>>238431470
I'll be in there whenever I can be. I've had an issue where pavlov gets stuck on "connecting" to a lobby after the first game if the map gets changed, even if I have the map saved locally. I often pop in on silencen and other's rooms when it comes up her for at least one round due to the aforementioned issue.
I re-installed it since the other day so I'll have to try again.
>>238431528
If the screen is too far away I can't see the movie. Good luck on your map!
>>238430438
>big low poly campfire environment we all used to hang out in
It's super cozy, I prefer it over the other rooms, but that might just be because it's really dark
Pretty cool that big industry folk meet up like that though, like in movies were the big CEO evil guys meet each other as holograms but instead they'd be big tiddy anime bitches gathering around a campfire talking about world domination
The craziest thing for me though is how clear the writing was when I pulled the smaller screen towards me. It was my first time trying out super sampling if that had any effect but when it was all the way up closer to me it was like looking at a normal TV
>>238430817
Drawing on the cinema screen or being able to make that bigger would be great, that's really the only additions I'd like
>>238431974
lol back then we were all just floating heads that were exactly 1 unity unit in volume. We could submit our avatars to the dev and he would put them in the game if he had the time, so we had people running around as all sorts of crazy stuff, but again just heads, because there was no motion controllers at the time.
Also they did huge party events with tons of people and could change what you had in a hidden menu. I remember a big event where someone did live electronic music and they gave everyone a magic mushroom that completely fucked with the experience and made everyone's voice echo and the screen wobble and light trails everywhere as if you were tripping on acid. I spent most of my time in those days hanging out with DeepRifter.

>VR theaters inside vrchat can be legitimately 5.1 or more, if your source is.
How does your source have to be set up, and how does the VideoPlayer/AudioSources have to be set up in the scene? IIRC you had to do some weird channel splitting to separate mpeg streams to make it work, but can't remember where I read that.
>>238432527
That sucks a lot, because that was one of the main reason why cpu usage is super high in vrchat. The sooner they do this the better.
