Full body is better, but fullbody right now is just owning two feet trackers and one hip tracker. Yes, you can get that with Index.
The difference is Vive is an obsolete headset made by HTC, Index is modern headset made by Valve.

So I rented an Oculus quest from a friend and was fairly excited about it, but after about 3 hours of playing various stuff, my face started to feel very uncomfortable from the pressure of the headset. The resolution and lenses are definitely a huge improvement from the rift, but shit is pretty much useless since the hardware itself is as strong as a phone.

I don't understand how anyone can enjoy this meme gadget. Does it actually get better with the use of virtual desktop?

I have been greatly enjoying how it functions. Stocking up money and buying a large fleet, you can send your fleet on missions, and they get a bit of money for you as well as resources. I decided to give NMS another shot and keep playing, even though I lost my whole base and S class freighter to a bug with teleporters few days ago. Farmed another, but less slots, S class freighter and after 1h of playing I got a bug where I'm stuck inside the freighter and can't leave or walk though any doors. you can use really nice shaders like realtoon in vrchat, but they won't look like the realtoon preview images like this one. you can make your own world and then really meticulously edit a shader to look how you want there, but it just won't be the same everywhere.

From my experience yesterday if you're not a euro playing on the community server your AKM instant domes will not tranlsate very well in the slightest. I had a night and day difference when I picked up a AK12 at spawn on the very last rounds of the last match. AKM if you play on servers in your own region, otherwise I would just use M4 or AK12 on the vrg community server.

the trick is to use emission at a low(ish) value to get realtoon to look right everywhere. You basically mask the luminescence values of the things that don't get highlighted by lightprobe setup luminescence for ramps/mapping for shading to some kind of neutral value, so that realtime lighting directional or light probes more "blows you out", but you're consistent in maps that have shit light or no realtime at all, just a baked map (instead of just going black).

You'll look incredible in maps that have great lighting done correctly with lots of light probes, too.

If you want consistency, You can also just use vrchat mobile standard lite and fix 99% of problems by enabling emission, taking a 50% or more darker version of your avatar texture map, then set the emission color to white.
you won't be completely black in dark maps or where there's no lighting, and you'll be "lit" at 50% in maps with no lighting. It's a decent alternative to vrchat toon which can be too bright, doesn't support which does, btw, get lighting from the scene, but doesn't work perfectly everywhere (though it usually does.)
also, please upload quest versions of your avatars, even if they're a subdivided plane with a picture of your avatar tposed on it.

Triangle narrows the horizontal recoil pattern, It's actually somewhat noticeable if you test it side by side. Useful for spray weapons that have swing in their spray pattern like the M4.
Vertical grip is less clear to me, I thought it does the same but vertically or reduces the vertical spacing between shots in a burst but I don't see any noticeable difference from the triangle grip.
They also have a subjective value in that they change the foregrip placement on the gun slightly. Some like to put them on the pump shotgun for this reason.

it's 1/3 of my workflow for fitting clothing
i like to get clothes already rigged and pose mode them into place then they are either sculpted or shrinkwrapped and sculpted
most of my outfits do end up being weight transferred by the end but certain parts like gloved hands or fully covered body parts with extreme hard surface protrusions i just use the cats armature merge and then manually clean up the bones

2.0 uses newer tech such that the lasers are consolidated on the same axis so there are less moving parts. This makes it more reliable and cheaper to manufacturer. Aside from that there are no real performance increases however, since they changed the syncing pulse the 2.0 lighthouses are not compatible with 1.0 you can't use both types at once.

DCS World, yes it can be compliacte however there are 'simpler' airacraft in it.
The 'free' airacraft you can fly without buying shit (Su-25T 'Frogfoot' is 'simple' in that it doesn't have a clickable cockpit and most system actions are bindable (you wont need to bind much).

There's a module called 'Flaming Clfifs 3' which is a pack of various russian and US aircraft which are of the same simplicity, no more complicated then IL2 aircraft where engine management is swapped out for radar and weapon system controls
However the real meat of the game is the study sim modules where you do need to read the manual and learn how to start and fly the real thing, however they are also pricey and require a bit of time to learn.

If you're willing to spend some extra money (not much though) on nigger-rigging around, i've been successfully getting kills with PS Move controllers in Pavlov with DK2. You need two controllers, two cameras, some free USB ports, and some decent CPU performance. Walking is troublesome and overall i wouldn't recommend it to anyone who just wants to have fun with quality product, but if that's how you want to get into VR, i guess it's one way to do it. This webum is from one of my last matches with Moves, i've recorded it so i can remember how inaccurate and bothersome it was, but as you can see, it's possible to use it in game. Also worth a mention that some games are not supporting those move controllers for some reason, like beat saber.
