I don't really hold grudges, I like to think I'm fairly nice to people and go out of my way to keep them from being ostracized. Being mean isn't really my problem.

sensors are normal cameras, so think of them as cameras. they see infrared diodes mounted on your hmd/controllers, so make sure to set your playspace in a way so two cameras are seeing those controllers as often as possible. try to imagine each camera's field of view and adjust it accordingly

The quality of maps of VRchat are really getting better and better with time. As the world creators build prefabs that they share between each other, the maps have been getting better every time you search for new ones.

The percentage of bad ones are still sky high but the good one's quality is getting pretty good when you find them. Just got to dig for it and hit gold.

1. Use the .blender file on the discord with the UE4 Mannequin Skeleton ready. The mannequin skeleton was imported with primary -X and secondary +Y axes. Try to ignore the shitty skeleton, Tim Sweeney's ways are weird

2. In the same blender file, import the fbx of the character you want to import into UE4

3. Scale the mesh of the character to better match the a-pose of the grayman mannequin
4. Remove the character's armature so all you have is a mesh

5. Follow the tranny guide attached to parent the mesh to the root of the mannequin and then rig it to the UE4 skeleton

7. When exporting as an fbx, make sure in the armature option that primary -x and secondary +y are selected

8. Your character should now be UE4 ready and ready to be given to a map maker
(fuck optimization lol)

remember that there's a chance someone else can download it
so don't use a character you would be upset if you saw used elsewhere or by someone else

Using Steam VR, map controllers of the console port add-on into useable index, rift, or other vr controller schemes.

I wish they could make vorpX play nicer with menu heavy games, though, I agree on that. Thankfully there are a lot of games you can 'suffer through' not opening the menus much. A shame older Bethesda titles don't tend to be included in that list, but at least Skyrim and FO4 have proper VR ports.

It would honestly make sense for Valve to release HL3 (lite?) as a VR game soon, given they now have the Index out there and can both advertise it on the store page and even offer a bundle, they can sell more copies of the game now due to VR having a larger userbase than even a year ago (especially with the Rift S being, relatively speaking, affordable), grow the market with the game everyone has been frothing over forever (even if its shit, people will still pre-order/upgrade, so they will then have VR), and so forth.

Speaking of on topic, after the release of No Man's Sky we have had a few debates around, and anons have brought up what a "home system" would be, or best to use. Going to brainstorm a way to bring together /vrg/'s No Man's Sky resources and pick a home system, we could vote for it or propose, then discuss. We have many different bases from multiple anons, but no "one" to centralize at. That aside, Workshop is going to progress like it always has, just going to get some work done, couple of newfags have been complaining about not having models but a desire to get them. Drop by the discord and some will try and help, but don't expect one on one teaching unless you ask an anon for that. If anybody wants help in the thread, do pop some questions as the likelihood of a reply is higher.

Isn't Jelly the only other person this happened to? It took around two weeks for his account to show up as being deleted. His account appeared as offline until that point.

The time it takes for your account to be deleted after a ban isn't mentioned anywhere on Discord's website, but people on other websites have mentioned it takes as long as if you had requested a deletion (14 days).
