The accuracy problems in VRChat are worse because of their finger tracking implementation. I haven't really noticed any major issues anywhere else, but I don't really pay as much attention to my fingers anywhere else either. The bigger problem is that finger tracking is basically just a gimmick right now.

I don't really see the point of them, to be honest. It's a shit ton of money and clunkiness for shitty fingertracking. I just don't see a huge value add for being able to finger track while holding a controller. HMD-based finger tracking seems like a much better solution, since it allows free interaction between your hands and with your environment. For games, I just don't see a big advantage to finger tracking in general, especially with controllers. Where I think it has the most potential is in games you play with other peripherals, like a wheel, joystick, or HOTAS, and then you can use finger tracking to interact with menus and whatnot. I just don't see applications in games, and I don't see the benefit of doing it while using controllers. "Grabbing" is handled perfectly with a grip button. The pressure sensitive grip is marginally useful in a game where you'd want to only lightly grip something to let it slide through your hands, but you don't need finger tracking for that, and in the vast majority of cases it'd be more convenient to have a button to let you automatically perform a death grip. Honestly the only "tracking" motion controls really need is capacitive sensors in the trigger and grip button. Lets you do pointing by lifting your index finger off the trigger, and for games that need a light and heavy grip, you can do (no grip:finger off), (light grip:finger on), (heavy grip:button pressed).

I wonder if they're considering doing their own thing since Microsoft doesn't seem to have any interest in making second gen WMR headsets. Odyssey+ was really good for a WMR headset, so this could be decent Rift S competitor if they do it right.

The palm strap is reasonable, and makes throwing things feel more natural since you can "let go" entirely. I think of I was coming from the vive wands I'd be more impressed of the general form factor and having buttons and joystick instead of the touchpad meme and weird toggle grip.

But like many others I came from the cv1 controllers, which are just far superior in almost every way. Not even considering the QC issues, the touch controllers are the same concept of the index, but much more refined.

Recently got the Event swords from swords of gargantua. Worth it. It's quite light to use, damage is lower than medium sword like super low if you don't do a good wide swing. It charges up SG gauge really fast though so you can "enchant" it quite fast kinda like a dagger. Has absolutely no stamina damage on enemies so don't even think of being able to stagger foes with this weapon. Weak for parrying as well. Damage is quite substantial on weak points and while charged uped though. A really interesting mix of properties. And you can throw it like a boomerang to boot.

ive been playing zone of the enders the second runner mars and its really fun. gotta use an xbox controller with it though.
it was a little wierd to start up though since you have to navigate the game's start menu on your normal computer screen until you turn vr mode on even if you launch it through steam vr. after that its fine just go in the settings and turn on the highest graphics settings and turn off all of the vr comfort settings because it uses shitty tunnel vision when high speed turning which makes you feel like you're going blind. turn all of that off and the game is great.

Worst yet, those that are dramatically socially unfit and who have a self-awareness and insecurity about their unfitness, such as Jelly and Cleetus, often resort to irrational acts of disruption, hatred, and other misguided attempts to garner peoples’ scorn, as having negative attention is better than having none of it.
Forgive me for my seemingly nearly sociopathic outlook on affection and relations, but I strongly believe that the only difference between my outlook and a typical /vrg/er is that I am self-aware that we all play games to accomplish goals and work to meet them, while most others do the same thing autonomously by merely following their base desires.

Here’s my review on saints and sinners.

It’s not a most buy but more a most buy when on sale.

The reason is mainly that the game is amazing the first half but after that it becomes repetitive. It’s manly fetch quest where you have to infiltrat a house with really shitty human AI and it just become awful since the game focuses more on humans than the actual zombies which is the main selling point.

However killing zombies that stand in your way to reach you A to B fetch quest becomes boring and then you just don’t care about zombies anymore and ignore them.

Honestly a game with a lot of potential and great first half but it falls flat on its face further into the game.

It’s well worth it just for the pure immersion and well coded game. Haven’t had any bugs and the game runs super smooth. I would actually say it’s the closest we have come to a “real single player, story driven vr title”

And yes there is going to be different zombie types but I’m just warning you that the game is very sammy in quest assets and general level design. Your are basically running around a small sururban housing area with only two or three houses you can walk into which a part of the main quests.

If you expected big cityscapes, parkour and horde of zombies then the game ain’t for you.

3. Memorable experiences (You would think that is the one thing I think VRchat can offer, but alas, I have found this to not be the case. Again we have the conundrum of two extremes. Either you can just have simple chats with random strangers which can often get boring quickly, and normally degraded into collectively doing something less interactive and less boring, like watching anime or a movie in a VRC theater, or on the other extreme you can chase the more visceral and dangerous experiences in VRchat, which mostly include lewding and lewd-adjacent actions. Suffice it to say for many people this can end up being traumatic. Cleetus’ mental breakdown manifesto is evidence of this. For those that aren’t sexually insecure, they either have to lie constantly about being pure, or eventually like a used up whore, even sex does not satisfy them after long.

Experimenting with this I tried out Mozilla hubs, asking one of the mods to make a channel for it we got the thing up and running. Currently the discord has a #hub-bot channel running Mozilla hubs. Getting into the discord's VR channel you can see chat messages and thing sent by others in the channel, drag and drop videos, gifs, and images into it. I am going to be hanging out in it for a few hours just to experiment and test the limits of this.

I’ve noticed that the finger tracking takes a few touches to calibrate in steam be home but after that they work great. My issue is that they don’t seem to track as well in vrchat. Also if I take them off and put them back on in vrchat then the finger tracking takes a dive until I quit and recalibrate in steam be home again. It makes me think the real issue is vrchat and not the controllers. Have not tested this with any other game because vrchat is the only vr game I have that uses the finger tracking. Have also had my controllers since... maybe May last year and have not had to RMA them.
