I played the Rush map a few days ago for Pavlov and I'm mixed over it, mostly negative. No team scramble or switching sides after a round over means the same exact stuff tends to happen every single time. Get a bad team and you have a 60/40 chance of even getting A/B, and a far lower chance of getting the follow up caps. The 60-500 ticket is completely and utterly wack. Extremely rampant PS movers. Sniper shots fail 90% of the time. Attackers just isn't fun because bad teammates just makes it too frustrating. I switched over to defenders after we finally did cap G hours later and it felt even less fun just camping in a crater right outside some of the boats but by that point people were beginning to leave. Also no out of bounds death means you can just run over to the next set of points as the current ones are about to get capped so you can get a headstart.

If Pavlov you can cheat by dragging yourself ten feet into the air and your player model will only scale to a certain size, so you'll eventually just have a gun floating above fully extended arms, but your view point is actually that high and you can shoot with immunity over obstacles.

The easy solution would to be to only allow a maximum height that the player configures and going above that moves the playspace up so they never get any taller. Otherwise, you could just cheat by standing on a bed, or even a ladder, in real life, even if PS mover were impossible to use.

Don't buy Lavender, it's an early access unfinished VRchat knockoff. It's probably never going to get released in full, and is just yet another "social VR space ~made by the community~ except there's fucking nothing cool to see".
Pavlov is good if you just want to shoot gun at other VR users and play VR TTT and shit. It's basically counter-strike VR but with fun modding tools. I'm working on a TF2 gamemode for it right now.

Hotdogs, Horseshoes, and Hand Grenades is a pretty good game despite the bitching in the thread about it. If you just like plinking at the shooting range and you can't go because of the spicy cough, it's fun. The controls are a bit odd if you're not using the Index/Vive Wands, but its got something for everyone.

Beat Saber is fun if you like music games but as people have mentioned in the last thread, there's an open source clone that's free and works better. Go use that instead, but I hear it looks worse visually.

If Pavlov is too not-serious for you, Contractors/Onward might be more your speed.

If you're looking for co-op games, PAYDAY 2 is good in VR. Very much a VR Port, but it has full cross play with pancake players and does the job well. Don't worry about the DLC pricetag, google is your friend and the game's anti-cheat doesn't actually ban you from anything. It just kicks you on a per lobby basis if you use DLC you don't own, and people can(and usually do) disable the auto-kicker from the lobby screen.

I'd need a name for the open source clone. A lot of people also tend to complain about workouts in VR entirely because it makes you sweaty. When you sweat, your headset's band is gonna be the first thing that soaks it up, and it can fog the lenses. That makes it pretty uncomfortable and I've still been struggling for a solution to that one.

Also, Quake VR was brought up last thread and is good fun, though I had to turn off a lot of the immersion settings, and Doom VR works if you use the new fork at https://github.com/hh79/gzdoomvr/releases since the old Doom VR mode had major issues with index controllers.

The best headset on the market is the Index. That's reflected in the high cost. Also, expect to wait almost a quarter of a year from ordering to actually receiving it due to Valve not having their manufacturing together at all. If you have the money for an Index, don't bother with the Vive. The Cosmos and Pro are garbage, so don't even consider them. The OG Vive is outdated at this point, people only get it because next to the Index its the only headset that natively supports full body tracking. If you don't want to spend $1000+ and wait a few months, the next best thing would be a Rift S. It's actually pretty fantastic, all things considered. Don't bother with Quest if your PC is better than a toaster.

Hello! My name is Maddie and I just started playing VRChat a few weeks ago. I’ve already clocked near 200 hours, however, so needless to say I‘ve found a place in this wonderful world.

One thing that really got me interested in VRC in the first place was how vast and diverse the community was—everyone from different countries dealing with different problems, here for different reasons. It’s a bit of a psychological Petri dish in a way, and it captured me.

I’m not a psychologist or a therapist by any means, however I’m about half-way through my psychology major right now it’s helped me personally in amazing ways. A lot of my friends have told me that they enjoy talking about shit with me because I’m easy to talk to, so I thought this would be a perfect opportunity to help others.

If you need someone to talk to, work out a problem, or just need a friend or a cuddle buddy, I’m your gal. While I won’t fix your problems for you, I am confident that I can push you in the right direction if you are willing. Again, it’s completely informal—I just enjoy listening/talking to people, and even if it’s a minor impact, I want to do all I can to make vrc just a little bit more welcoming.

Anyone know why merging some meshes together would make some pre-existing animations affect other parts of the mesh that were merged? I run the NA server. I set up all three of your tf2 maps in the rotation, it should be up now if you want to test.

Go into the FBX configuration options in unity. Look for a setting that says "use legacy normals" and tick that box. This will tell unity that your shape keys are not supposed to move your normals. It's a new feature that was added in 2018 unity.

You need to separate out the part of the mesh that you want to edit and make sure you delete the shape keys from it before making changes to the topology.
