The thing to realize is that public vrchat worlds are essentially a real life club. The people that generally hang out there (ignoring the skiddie desktopper crowd for a moment) are socially comfortable in that sort of environment, i.e. normies. The few times you'll run into other nerds, they'll likely be in the same situation: new to the game, checking out the public worlds and being appalled by the people there, then quickly logging off. Just like the internet as a whole, you can't count on the fact that somebody is on vrchat (or the internet) means they're also a nerd.

The /vrg/ friends+ meetups are honestly kind of the same way, but rather than a club, it's like a big house party; a bit kinder to nerds but still the domain of the "normie". /vrg/ used to be small enough that you could count on everyone there being enough of an autist to have stumbled upon this shitty general in 4chan, but not anymore.

So again like real life, the best place to find actual nerds to shoot the shit with is not the club, but the smaller interest groups. Try joining the mahjong autists, the anime viewings, multiplayer assetto corsa or beat saber, neos, pavlov. contractors, minecraft. You'll have something to to do to break the ice, then pick up conversations from there in small groups.

It's a tolerable way to play board or card games in VR, but also frustrating for complex games where you have to squint at a lot of rules text. Simple games work better. Playing MTG was kind of fun, since you can import custom decks and flick the cards and tap the mana. Still feels like you're playing the game with oven mitts on since you can't really manipulate the cards with your fingers though.

They're pretty easy to use, just attach them to your feet and waist. VRchat itself only supports the 3 trackers though, no point spending $100/tracker for more, unless you want to do mocap outside of vrchat. The IK for knees and elbows works well enough. Plus the big knobby plastic things would be annoying on your elbows.

No. 3 trackers is the limit. You need to edit your model to have good proportions for it to work properly, which is at least slightly easier with the new calibration method, because you can just see if your arms and legs are the correct length.

They have the same layout dude. The underground section on Mill is rarely used due to how much time it takes to cross and how bad the exits are. On most rounds the T's just funnel through one of the three major lanes and hope for the best. At least on Tuscan there's 2 split paths for entering B instead of one.

All the CT's did for the most part was post up on long angles with an AWP / G3 and get easy damage / kills because there's virtually no cover on the bridge and on the wide opening leading to B. You basically have to rush and throw proper smokes if you want any significant chance at taking a bombsite.

In Counter Strike, Aztec was a map that required good smoke grenade usage. Smoke in Pavlov is different from CS but we don't see enough players using them to bypass or block strong CT positions. Pavlov smokes are for area denial rather more than for cover as it's easier to see a player inside the smoke than for them to see out of it.

After messing with Avatars 3.0 I managed to get something similar to old gesture triggered overrides by editing vrc_AvatarV3HandsLayer2 and putting it in FX instead of Gestures. Using Gestures didn't toggle the blendshapes for whatever reason (mask maybe?).
