Assetto Corsa Competizione is good too if you like GT3s and have a good enough computer for it to be playable in VR. Project Cars 3 might also be worth checking out in a few weeks.
ETS2 and ATS are good if you want comfy trucking.
Don't know as much about flight stuff, but Elite: Dangerous and War Thunder are worth checking out if those seem like your kind of thing. I've heard good things about DCS World and IL-2 as well, but I haven't tried either of those yet.

For the AI dungeon event we'll be hosting another round of tests later about 13 hrs from now if you are interested so you can see how it works.
The DM for that will basically be someone that:
1) Makes the first initial world prompt scenario to give the AI and players what the world is about. Optionally you can also ask the players short descriptions of their characters to add to the memory of the AI.
2) we will be explaining more tips and details on how to handle the ai but overall it's pretty lax and great
3) It's the DM's prerogative on how he will handle the overall flow. Like having the player adventuerers take turns telling what their input is on the AI. DM can also railroad the AI by using /story to add very specific world happenings even while in-game.

Pic related is a sample prompt from one of the tests when this backstabbing rogue player asked the mysterious cube which we found from a postman what the worth of the cube is.
The first sentence in pic related is the input, the AI generated the rest.

So in game will roll for AI outputs rather than dice. The DM's job is to corale the AI so the story makes a bit more sense than usual and coordinate the 4 players into the adventure in the world you set with a goal you set.

Doing some Assetto Corsa endurance racing at Bathurst tomorrow night at 8PM EDT.
We'll just be using base game GT3 cars, so you'll just need the track mod and the sol mod for night racing. Both are in the Mega link below.
If you've used sol before, you may need to update to the latest version.
The server is in practice mode with the new config for now, but we'll switch to qualifying/race mode once enough people have joined and run a race or two.
It's set up with a fallback if you can't get the sol mod installed, but that doesn't always work for some reason, so please try to get that installed in advance, let me know if you run into any issues.

Let me know if you need help setting up streaming to icecast later on if it works out. Using OBS to stream to it, while workable, is a pain in the arse. You might be better off using Loopstream if streaming from Windows, or setting up ezstream if doing it from linux. Because I wasn't paying attention to the setup for the other event it was used in, they ended up using BUTT which is simple but lacking, and has this weird issue where sometimes it will show as connected successfully when it isn't. Could never figure that out, looking through the source code and all.

I did some testing. It turns out the vrchat stream player will play a regular, bounded mp3 file just fine as pure audio (with a blank video), without having to transcode to aac and wrap with a mp4 file. That's not a bad way to do a dance night then, just host a bunch of mp3 files somewhere and stick the urls in the video player playlist.

Unfortunately, the r/a/dio icecast stream doesn't work, even with the 'live' player mode. It'll buffer 100ms of audio, play it in a little burst of static, then shut off when vrchat's stream player tries to sync up the byte ranges or something, repeated every few seconds.

Thus, for truly live music I think you'd have to still use nginx-rtmp to transcode and chunk up the audio into a real HLS stream. but that's straightforward enough.

As long as they're vaguely in opposite corners and pointing a little bit downwards they'll be able to see everything clear enough. They have a 120 degree fov so they can see pretty close to their sides. They have a standard 1/4 inch camera mount screw on the bottom and back so if you have a camera tripod (or one of those cheap flexible desktop ones) you can use that to mount it. Important bit is having them (even if only a little bit) above your head standing so they can see each other and having them in opposite sides of the room so they cover both sides of you.

What's the trick for getting a hat on your model that's visible to yourself? I tried making a dummy head bone parented to the neck, and then weighting the hat to that, but that comes with the obvious problem of it not tilting with the head because the HMD only affects the head bone. Only get the slight movement that the neck IK involves.

Yeah, I fell for the same thing.
You get used to it, and once you get better hardware the visuals will get better since you can upscale it to 400% in SteamVR.
But for now, don't worry about it, visuals aren't crisp, and won't be for a while.
Realistic looking games make the blur more obvious, whereas cartoony artistic ones like Superhot/Saints and Sinners/Until you Fall are easier on the eyes.
