Forgot to mention on the VTOLVR multiplayer mod. As far as i know, it works entirely off of steam friends. So you have to add whoever you're gonna play with. (people you don't have added just say "unknown above them", unless they changed that since their test videos).

As for the adventurers, for this event please prepare your DnD avatars. We'll be highly pressuring the hosts to only allow skills and actions that are logical to the avatar you have prepared.
So the avatar and equipment you have will most likely be the job class you will be in the world, so be prepared. Of course this does not stop you from picking up other ancient artifacts on your play through that might augment/improve/expand your abilities.

This AI dungeon DnD campaign is a lite version of a real DnD campaign.
Instead of rolling for dice we roll for AI output.

Since we're hosting it in VRchat, people can see the participants doing the campaign.
For the real event the participants need to phantomime and actually do the thing placed on the ai. If your character slashes a sword you need to slice a sword. This is to make the experience more enjoyable for everyone.

The headset is basically an Index with a higher res display and WMR tracking. The lower refresh rate compared to an Index won't bother you if you haven't had higher, and the resolution might be worth the trade off if you have. Headset tracking was fine on gen 1 WMR, so no real issues there.
Controller tracking should be fine outside of a few edge cases too, since the biggest problem with the first gen headsets was camera coverage and this fixes that.
The controllers look fine. Should function like Oculus touches minus the capsense which is mostly for cosmetic stuff. As long as the ergonomics are fine, the only major issue I can see is gesture mapping for VRChat.

The only thing I'd honestly be worried about are the controllers, everything else should be solid. It looks like a nice middle ground between an Oculus headset and an Index with some advantages over that too. I think a lot of people will still go with an Oculus headset since it's the cheapest option, but there's no reason to think it'll have a horrible launch.

The software/tracking issues were already worked out in the previous gen WMR headsets though, so I don't see any major issues happening there.
