I updated the 3.0 FBT toggle locomotion controller posted a few weeks back. This fixes a bug present when dropping in FBT and changes the fall/ jump animation to be less intrusive, as requested.

Unity rendering for VR also makes the assumption that 1 unit equals 1 meter, at 1.0 camera scale; importantly this means your controller positions in unity match up with their real life offset from your eyes. Also the physics gravity force is based off 1 meter per unit.

Recently went to a Japanese Hub world and the simplicity of how it was set up worked really well for scheduling.

I've tried the Varjo VR-1 prototype and a release version. The FOV feels like a tunnel vision after Index and the headset overall doesn't feel all that special. The thing is there's a small very high resolution area in the very center of vision and it's really real life fidelity stuff, literally felt like real life resolution.

Not really useful for VR gaming and I can see why they went for enterprise market as the applications seems very niche. I wish I got to try latest Pimax to compare and even without trying I'd suggest getting Pimax if you wanna go super high resolution just for software compatibility.

Your setup seems fine. The GPU is kind of minimum recommended territory but should be ok. If the CPU is first gen Ryzen then it's kind of minimum recommended too but I guess 2nd or 3rd gen based on motherboard so you'll be ok with that. 16GB RAM can run out in extreme VRChat cases but it's generally ok.

Nah, not yet, but you're sent near it during the weather station mission. I couldn't be bothered risking any more sliders when I was last there to explore. You can probably get up there, the dev loves climbing.

Here's a protip for the new gun maintenance mechanics - the cleaning rod and toilet paper can repair a gun back up to pristine in a few seconds as long as you never let it get into yellow durability. Yellow needs slow brushing and the WD40 is a consumable, so prefer to avoid. TP is cheap and doesn't seem to run out so if you stash a few rolls and rods around the radius and remember to clean often you can ignore the durability clock that usually forces you back home. You can't repair knives with it, but you can repair the SKS with bayonet, so you can almost ignore the ammo clock too if you get good enough with that weapon.

H3VR advent calendar. You have to look for hidden bunkers. As always with these game modes, it is a mixed bag. The good thing is that it is the 1st focused on long range engagements. There are many annoyances about the map but the worst thing is the enemies that only have a weak spot in the back of the neck, so if they see you, you have to put 3 or 4 rifle rounds in their heads, and even more if you are using a pistol caliber.

Oculus medium is probably the most developed, but they got sold to adobe sadly. Masterpiece VR is similar, I tried the free trial a bit but it was buggy. Gravity sketch is more CAD, haven't tried. Quill and tilt brush are more "3d painting" than sculpting, but kinda cool if you like their style. Kanova is dead, but free on steam. Google blocks does basic poly modeling, also dead.

Also worth mentioning is maquette, which isn't really a modeling tool (bills itself as a "prototyping tool") but it's honestly the one I've gotten the most use from for laying out worlds from primitives.

Idk if my philosophy on headpats is shared by others, but I chose a game character that I liked playing until somebody translated it to a cute boothmodel as a joke, the joke was so amusing I decided to wing it and now it's basically my main avatar.
I usually headpat people based on our friendship and howmuch I like the model, if I can't get a conversation running with you in an empty room, chances are big that I won't headpat you, but sometimes they enter the "bro" zone and it'd feel wierd if I headpatted them. It's a wierd emotional equation that I have and can't explain to people how it works, I sometimes just act on the situation and occasion, but I do think that a big factor is on how you act, if you act all cute and huggable, you'll probably drown in headpats, while if you're out there as a bro and just chat and drink, you'll probably get less headpats from what I've seen.
