Would anyone be interested a public compiled list of avatars? For a split second I had thoughts of brute force war dialing the uuid sense search won't return on empty list. Idea is currently to gather usernames of people with public avatars. I believe there was also a mod that kept a local database of your favourite models but also any model you've seen. Maybe share that as well. Could make a small app you could overlay in-game that would allow you to search through and switch to them via the api.

There used to be a really early udon world with a button that switched you into a random public avatar. I don't know how they did it or if the world still exists; it might have just been a preset list of ids. Doing the same sort of world with your scraped avatar ids would be fun.

I've been working with Eyo in Unity and my dynamic bones aren't following the model in play mode. They get frozen in place as i drag my model further away from 0,0,0
I have other booth models and their dynamic bones work fine in play mode moving with the model perfectly. Anyone ever dealt with this before?

Curious as to why it's only Eyo that's doing it. That did make all the dynamic bones flow with the model no matter how far I moved it from the starting point. I've thrown 4 other models off of booth into my scene and they all work fine in play mode with the option ticked. My friend's project with Eyo also works fine. Wouldn't be a big deal but I'm adding a bunch of outfits to Eyo and it really helps to be able to see how the bones flow with the new outfits. It's not my outfits that are messing it up either because it happens on a fresh project or one with them.

Why do some presets come without the looking up / looking down blendshapes pre-selected?
I've figured you're just supposed to fill those yourself but the one I'm importing currently only has a "looking down" blendshape pre-selected.

It's kind of shitty but you can manage. You should try it out and when it starts to bother you get something better.

The official elite strap upgrade was really shitty at launch. I don't know if they fixed it but it would literally just snap in half from the strain after few hours if manhandled even a bit. Since I only care about PC gaming on it I only need the 65gb version right? Extra face pads aren't necessary but can be beneficial.
For both of these things just try the default headset out first and see what the comfort is like for you personally.
To use it with a PC you'll need either a USB 3.0 type C cable or good 5 GHz wireless router + Virtual Desktop.
And don't forget the Facebook account is required to login to use the headset although you can use MAC address filtering or PiHole afterwards, plus manual firmware upgrades/downgrades, for complete permanent disconnection from Facebook servers.

For big events, preparation is key.
You will have to have a lot of "varied" activities that people can engage in the map outside of the "main" one.
Before the event, there has to be a lot of shilling to let people know that the event is happening and it's going to happen for sure.

(0) The poster, the thread shilling and map making posts and recruitment of talent for the event allows people to know that the event that is about to occur is going to happen for sure.

Multi-stage sequences of scenarios is required for it to feel like a big event. Kind of like how a boss fight in any video game has at least 2 phases.
Each of those phase needs to be nice and varied from each other while maintaining a coherent story arc. See pic related

(1) You start with just gathering people and letting them chat with each other with deliberately planned out spaces in your map that allows for natural conversations to flow between people. Be it via pickups, tables, chairs, center pieces, and other interactables you prepared on the map that can gather and generate conversation between people. Yes mirrors count

A host is very important too that can direct the flow of the event so you can start gathering people when the planned sequence needs to start.
(2) A CALL TO ACTION
The host then gathers everyone for the first part of the event where the host can do an opening speech on what the event is about and thanking everyone who gathered.
A nice speech or video or something to give the mood of what the main event is going to be.

(3) The Main event
The climax has to be inside this main event slot. Make sure that there is pay-off in here that allows people to justify the time that they used to join the event

(4) The cooling off period
After the main event is done, there needs to be space (A nice custom music does nicely here) to impart to people that the event is over and that they are free to just chill and enjoy the rest of the night with the other anons.
