The vivecraft mod for minecraft java is solid, and minecraft is a very good base game for a while. It's compatible with some mods as well, though some mods you'll see are only compatible with older versions of minecraft.

There's a multiplayer server in the OP for vanilla minecraft that's up with some neat builds in it, but I don't think there are any active players. If you post when you join though some other anons might hop in to join you.

I could never get auto-turn to work that well. I just stuck with manual and its much faster than auto turn. You should practice both OVR space turn and joystick turn for manual redirected walking. OVR space turn is faster but more cumbersome. Joystick turn is slower but easier to manage weapons.

There are flavor of the months. But saying everyone uses the same 5 ones is disingenuous. What most interests me is that after the flavour of the month ends and a new one comes in. Those who decide to stay with the older booth gets solidified as that persona. It's really neat seeing those that stay with their face models for years on end as they etch their body language and face as a calming and friendly familiar sight.
If you go to any specific meetup, approximately 25% will be using the same 5 models with minor variation, the other 75% are quite unique in their own regard.
Even the minor variations in those 25% are still quite noticeable and make them all individually distinct from each other.

I've personally come to the point of finally finding a sort of close enough rarer booth faces to use that is a high-def upgrade for my avatars.

Someone who knows you need latest drivers to run it at the highest resolution, but also tests other resolutions?
Some german written review said that text is blurrier than the g2, even though it has a higher resolution.
My main concern is that on my OG vive, the fresnel lenses were absolute dogshit if you did anything but stare straight forward, as the sides were blurry as fuck, and using that lens mod for normal lenses without fuckdumb circles, everything is crystal clear even if you look to the left or right with your eyes.
Why the fuck do they use those lenses anyway. Do people really never look with their eyes, and only with their neck?

I would recommend trying to get the texture in higher resolution, since you're losing a lot of detail. This is best done by changing the UVs so more texture goes to detail areas, but in your case it might be pretty simple to just increase the resolution. Be warned though it will increase filesize and vram usage.

Me and my extremely close irl friend that I've known since elementary both decided on VR and it was going great for the first week, My friend decided to try vrchat and was kind of not into it at first, then out of nowhere gets heavily addicted to it, and to the point where the only breaks he takes is just to use the bathroom and eat/drink. Before he got his VR he had 3ish hours put into the game, and now he has 216 hours.

Now throughout the month he distances himself more and more. Not even 3 hours ago me and our other 2 close irl friends where in our circle just talking and deciding what game to play. My friend joins and starts bragging about how he has "over 10 girls" that he met on VRchat messaging him and he says they are obsessing over him. We ignore it and me and the 2 others decide to play a game we all had, he says word for word "Sorry I can't I'm cuddling with someone in VRchat". It fucking destroys me to see someone I've known and considered a brother chose someone he hasn't known for 2 weeks.

Jetborne Racing released today DCS meets Mario Kart. Only played a little bit of it but it seems fun so far. I thought there might be some training wheels because of the more casual game mode but the flight model seems to be straight out of VTOL VR so it's actually a bit of a challenge just to get around the track without crashing. Multiplayer seems to work well for the one lobby I've tried, it has a nice spectator mode where you actually get to sit in the grand stands with other spectators which is a nice touch.
