It looks like it's got some roll to it, hard to tell from your screenshot.
Here's an example of how a working setup looks, note that only the Z value for the head and tail of the bone are different.
You can set the values here, or in edit mode scale the bone's X and Y axis to 0, then hit alt+R with the bone selected to clear the roll.

Yeah, they aren't supposed to, the reason you bake them in the first place is to remove the performance cost that realtime lights take.
Most lighting in vrchat maps, even real unity games, doesn't hold up to close scrutiny, you're just noticing it because it's a map that you're working on personally. You can adjust light positions and intensities to make it a little better, but you'll never get perfection.

Quest 2 is the sweet spot yes. How badly do you not want to create a facebook account? You could buy a cheap WMR headset, but they're much worse than the quest, or you could save for the index, but that's so much more expensive than a quest it's not an ideal headset for people who are brand new to vr.

Your chance to get a good cheap VR headset was 2 years ago (Odyssey+ for 230$). That would've been your best possible option unless you were dead set on getting top of the line shit and finger tracking like the Index because Quest is just a souped up Android that just happens to have a VR Headset attached to it. Some japanese loophole that lets people make models of copyrighted material, the limited time sale implies you're only getting paid and compensated for the time you spent making it (like if someone commissioned you to make a personal use model) and not getting continuously paid by exploiting the copyright.
Basically japanese companies want people making fan mmd models of their characters for use in mmd videos because it's free publicity. But they don't want people making money from their IP by making and selling 3D models. This Vket felt kind of underwhelming to be honest. I feel like it just suffered from the $30 fee. Sure there's more quality stuff but everything just felt so empty. The worlds were kind of uninteresting as well compared to the previous ones. Even though they were so simplistic they still had hundreds of mb to download. I kind of miss the cube worlds; even though they were kind of stark, it's a good system to essentially hop through a bunch of mini worlds, without having to coordinate portals and stuff. In neos VR, festa thing works the same way as the cubes, with the added advantage that the assets for each booth are downloaded on demand instead of everything of front.

i've fucked around with vr in subnautica but not like properly played the game that way.
they were fucking terrifying in regular pc mode so i can only imagine running into one for the first time in vr.

i like the vr implementation of subnautica even if it lacks motion controls or whatever, but just one heads-up/warning.
if you change check a camera (like the cameras on the cyclops) in vr, and move the view around with the mouse/thumbstick, then when you turn off the camera and go back to first person view, your "default" view position will have been changed to the way the camera was looking (ie: if the camera was looking straight down, then you looking forwards in your room will be straight down in subnautica), and you'll have to go back into the camera and try to get it facing forwards to fix it. it's not a big point but just be aware.

Those screens are overlay screens placed in the game. You're looking at koikatsu + a desktop overlay app.
But you can build a world like this in unity and get a hot anime girl and put some generic poses and animations on it and lay it on a bed and then upload the world and visit it for the same experience.

I have an Index, and apparently a good solution is to have an exhaust fan plugged into the front USB, but I haven't seen a way to mount a fan to my headset without needing to 3D print a replacement front cover for the entire device. depends what you mean by workable. its not interactive at all but it uses the headset for fine aiming and i think it works well. you need to use a controller though, there aren't enough buttons on at least the index knuckles for a game that doesn't make use of grabbing or holsters or any other vr convenience so even a third party mapping is fucking trash. but i think the controller setup is intuitive and plays well

i use ps4 controller and just the headset seated. i dont know how it used to be but x axis is unlocked on joysticks and yes looking down is still shitty. how it works in the seamoth is you can use the joystick to look up and down which i think works fine, with a little motion sickness. and that said searching now apparently theres a mod to enable y axis look which is worth looking into

i just tried the y axis unlock mod, played for about an hour. its disorienting as fuck and i dont recommend it. i feel like the reason its locked isn't because the devs wanted it to be but because the view warps like yaxis implementations in software doom and menus and such come up in respect to where your 'eyes' are which isn't updated with your joysticks y. i can't explain that, vanilla way sucks but its better. i hope it didn't lock my eyes to some low axis so menus dont permanently fly above my head and shit
