go look at /alg/, /fgog/, /revue/, /きらら/ as some examples. they all have spreadsheet friendlists directly in the OP. dozens of other generals have their friend sheet behind a pastebin or rentry.

it's not hard. make a submission form where people can just type in their vrchat username and it automatically gets added to a spreadsheet where people can find each other. maybe even an optional 'notes' column to indicate if you want to be an anchor, or additional details. it's THAT simple.

A spreadsheet for discords, steam groups and whatever would be way easier to manage. If people want to share individually their steam/discord/whatever, they can put that in their VRC bio

Haven't tried any VR Chat horror maps actually as I'm not much for horror in general so I can't really compare. Most GMod horror maps are just all flashy jumpscares and no subtlety so it was rare to see a map that actually got under my skin and fucked me up with the few jumpscares it did have (especially since I was in a call with friends who were cracking jokes). The one I mentioned, The Accident, is absolutely the best horror map on the GMod workshop since that one apartment map from the GMod Tower devs (even if minimal story is completely predictable).

So I've owned an HTC Vive since almost it's release year (got it like 6 months or so after) and I'm nearing the point that I am strongly considering upgrading my headset. As of right now I'm not very into the idea of a quest 2 simply because the wireless with airlink seems quite janky from what I've read and I do not have a strong WIFI 6 connection to make it work, also in terms of headset power I just don't see it as reason enough to jump to it. Index is still a wired headset and at this point despite being the "premium" headset it's still just not enough of a leap to make me consider it. The resolution is obviously better..but again, still tethered and not that massive a boost imo

Is there any notable jumps in headsets coming soon to be considering? Index 2? quest 3? vive pro 2? fuck idk. I want to replace the thing but nothing seems really that worth replacing for. The one thing I REALLY want is for the new headset to be wireless but operate at 2k/4k whatever the fuck good resolution and notable leap in power from a Vive

Right now I use a ceiling pulley system to try to keep cables out of the way but laying in bed with that system is pretty much impossible because the wire is still there and tugs constantly when I try to lay down. Only works great if I'm standing and moving around. Wireless really is my #1 priority for an upgrade alongside better resolution/more clarity.

Been playing through half life alyx with the dev commentary on. Some really rad shit in this game that I never really thought of. Glad they do these and share their design philosophy and the steps they took to polish things. Other game devs could really learn a thing or two about it. They went really hard on pacing and mood setting in this game in order to teach players about the mechanics. Good to see it wasn't just a fluke.
