While the Quest 2 has great specs for the price there are other issues that prevent us from currently recommending it, see the section below.

If you're looking for cheaper PCVR check out some WMR options, these run the gamut from CHINESIUM to ENTERPRI$E CLASS. They will generally suffer from poorer tracking however, YMMV.

Yep. Bools are a single bit. Floats are 8 bits (1byte).
There's a really neat way to utilize multiple bools though so it doesn't just become 8 pieces. You can use them as if they're a byte string too 00001001 < is one toggle state for example. So you can have a lot of bool states with insane amounts of combinations (2000+ states) just by using 8 bits. And they're attached to how many toggle buttons you need.

Compare that to a radial which has 0 to 100 and very finnicky in your thumb controls. Most realistically you can have 8 toggle states in that float radial whiteout getting to annoying to control and accidentally slip.

That's why you're having trouble. Your avatar's head shrinks down so you can't see it in first person. Collision with everything will also hit the player pill so make sure you change that to one of the proper layers. Also add a spot light that matches the beam so you get your dot on your target.
