Yup! I think we'll start off with the 12 player airshow to figure out what we're working with, and then either go to the BVR PVP to practice with weapons (since you can't at the airshow) or one of the coop missions if we have 6 or less people or can split.

From what I see I don't beleive editor support is dropping with the helicopter, and we're playing before that drops anyways, but once it does I hope we can get 16+ man coop missions.

Yeah, it can be frustrating. You need to treat every missile like it's life and death (because its) and maneuver in ways like >>367283367 says, staying low and using terrain to break LOS.

It's easy to ignore the RWR, but it gives information critical to survival about location and status of air defenses and enemy fighters. One thing that's easy to miss is some systems can fire on you and you'll only ever get a missile warning when it goes active, making it too late. Keep an eye out for smoke trails (you can spot them at a great distance).

I think the MP coop and PVP missions are good for learning this stuff- you can't actually fail them, you just respawn, and you can quickly startup, launch, and learn from the mistake.

One good skill is 'notching'- place the radar missile or air defense you want to evade on your exact left or right (the RWR helps with this) and it will lose you in the background terrain (so being low really helps) and pop chaff. This works best when done at longer ranges or in the F-45, which is stealth.

Speaking of the F-45, I think that's going to be the best planes for newbies to try out. It's much more advanced than the F-26/AV-42, but the situational awareness that it provides is massive and I think it'd be really good for making sure people don't get frustrated and quit. We'll try the F-45 coop mission first at EU VTOL.

Enderal with most of the standard VR mods+some which restore Enderal's cut conten. You don't actually need that many plugins for it as Enderal on its own already overhauls most of Skyrim's mechanics. I am not even halfway through and I have easily sunk a hundred hours into the total conversion. I don't think as highly of it as some people do as the writing gets dumb, but I like the handcrafted nature of all of the dungeons and environments.

Given that the mods are free on top of a CD key of SkyrimVR I got for $7 I have certainly dodged buyer's remorse with this one.

The actual VR functionality mods I use include VR menu mouse fix, FlinchingSSE VR, VRIK, HIGGS, Spell Wheel VR, Magic Improvements for Skyrim VR, Immersive Gathering, Simple Realistic Archery VR, Weapon Throw VR, Dual Wield Block VR, Locational Damage VR, Sprint Jump VR, Sighted Crossbows VR, Scoped Bows, and the No Stagger Mod as staggering sucks in VR.

One big caveat about Enderal VR I should be upfront about is that a lot of the cool combat overhauls that make Skyrim VR extra cool just don't work. Spellsiphon and Arcane Archery namely. It makes combat feel "vanilla" even if the realistic archery mechanics and being able to actually headshot dudes is hardly vanilla. I personally like going full Legolas with realistic simple archery and locational damage, but it isn't as interesting as being able to go full Thief as with Arcane Archery. It's worth the cost if you like everyone else has played in Todd's world plenty of times and want something fresh and far less bland. EU VTOL Host here, sorry you guys had so many issues during NA. EU got through our whole session without any crashes or hickups before the massive wave hit with the full MP release. It's probably something there causing it, we weren't even able to join the lobby after it dropped due to some sort of server location bug. Don't all refund it now! I'm sure it will be much better next time.

Both seats have all the power. Top seat has a problem with visibility on landing, less, MFD screens, less gun dedicated controlls, more flight dedicated controlls.
Bottom seat has great visibility, special targetting pod and gun controllers, 3 screens for tactical awareness.

But in a pinch both seats can fully control guns, flight and targeting pod.

So fun fact, the augmented vision of the IHADSS (the helmet mounted display you get with selecting 'head' on the target management page) lets you see straight through the helicopter from the camera mounted on the nose. You can look straight down through your lap and see the ground. It's pretty crazy, and this helicopter in VTOL VR has it because I was trying it out from the back seat. No screenshots to share right now, though.

No originally it's singleplayer games with campaigns for the planes. DLC 2 seater helicopter came out and official release of multiplayer happened a few hours ago.

You can play singleplayer and have tons of fun with official and workshop content. Heli is flyable solo too, you have all controlls in both seats really, but also you can switch seats on the fly in singleplayer.

While It's not on sale anymore Valheim is honestly a really solid entry in the whole early access survival crafting meme genre, probably worth full price if you like the mechanics and aesthetic. The VR mod is quite comfy too now with wrist-mounted menus. The framerate is... not good, but openvr_fsr makes it playable. Just some vikings runnin through the forest:
