I'll shill Silent's Shader because it's really good. Poiyomi has gotten a lot better, too. I don't get the fights right now but my main deal is, I can't help with something I don't use, and the main reasons I don't use poiyomi are "I just don't like how it handles lighting", which is also why some people like it. It's whatever.

Still, the inventory system is unique and usable if you offset the UVs on a mesh by 1 block, because unity doesn't really care, everything is valid to unity as long as it's in the relative position on that UV tile.

Maps and masks can save you mat slots. Many huge textures just eats other people's vram though so make sure you actually optimise and not just get goodboy points from the vrcdevs.

Figured it out. I had to click on story mode to switch to sand box and arena. Sandbox kinda sucks considering you have to put everything in the reclamation bin to use it. I thought only special items required that. Like imagine in order to spawn a headcrab in good you had to carry one through an hour of half life 2. The shooting range is a joke considering you have to go through a small level to get to it and its just a tiny range with only the guns you reclaimed with form me was just an uzi. Wish I did that with the laser sight rifle

Anyway apparently boneworks has a lot of mods so I guess I can check those out now. Don't know which ones though
