Tried out the new IK beta. Noticed some strange things. My head turns way more in relation to how much I move it from side to side. The arm IK is also weird because it doesn't do the whole lean thing if your arms can go further irl, left and right are okay but when I put my hands forward it's like I'm hitting an invisible wall and it pushes my arm either left or right while also steering my entire chest that direction too.

Another issue I found was that on some avatars the head doesn't move at all and is instead tied to the chest for whatever reason so it results in only being able to look straight in whatever direction your body is turned towards.

IKtweaks is pretty good, but I like the new version of the IK a bit better. The head+hip lock in the new IK is great.

I've never tried IKTweaks but the IK update is behaving very well for me, its nice to have different options too for tracking styles. I wish it saved calibration between avatars though...

my Meta Index is finally finished.
I have to come up with less gay looking way to attach the speakers to the strap, but it holds well.

I am very satisfied with the sound quality. And it is so fucking convenient.. i just put the thing on my head and no longer have to unplug my cans from my pc and plug them into the quest, not to mention wearing cans on top of a headset feels cluttered as fuck. This is nice and open. Can recommend.

Found this fix that might be worth a shot though, it seems like you can fix it in some cases by pulling the arm off and putting in an o-ring that came with the wrist straps.

1. i dont know jack shit about quest 2 but i assume if something is plugged in, its charging or at least not draining battery.
2. avatar color is the easiest thing to change, like babbies first step into avatar customisation. dont even need blender. textures are just .pngs you open with photoshop, do whatever with and it gets applied to the model automatically.
3. pre-made clothes are usually only built for certain 'bases' or base bodies. you can still hack and bash around in blender to try to get stuff fitting on models its not designed for. and you can always make your own shit but lol learning blender. price of cosmetics (free or otherwise) depends which base model you chose.

It charges the battery but not faster than it drains so it effectively extends the battery life from 2-3 hours to 6-8 hours. I find that is normally enough but if you want to go longer you can buy a big battery pack (do not by the official one) and use that wirelessly.

Without ANY knowledge? No. You have to actually edit the 3D model to change it which requires some knowledge but it's not very hard and people here will help you.

You can get shit for free and just slap it on in Unity or Blender but if it doesn't fit your model you'll have to manually resize it. Fitting a hat is easy, fitting a shirt is hard.

For reasons I don't understand, animating humanoid arms doesn't work on the Gesture layer. I moved them to the Base layer, and I guess that good enough. Now the trouble is making more convincing animations. I don't think you can animate the hand IK target itself unfortunately, and unity makes editing humanoid animations extremely painful, so it'll take some doing.
