Coming soonish is May Day. On May 1st, a lot of places celebrate the turn of spring with festivals and food, and some places just whine about working. Here, we celebrate with blender and unity. I used a 360 Kinect for a year with Kinect2VR, let me tell you the actual experience. First and foremost, you're basically confining yourself to standing in one spot in your room and looking in one direction. You have maybe a 3 foot radius of movement freedom before the drift in position between the HMD and simulated trackers is too much. You also have to face forward with ~60 degrees of variance, tracking getting worse outside of that. It has some noticeable latency, but it's not so severe that it will be a constant bother. If you position the camera right, you can get it to track you sitting down (maybe), but otherwise it will only work while standing. But, if you actually are standing straight up in the right spot and facing the right direction, it works alright. You're getting what you pay for.

kinect FBT isn't even bad desu for the amount of money you spend on it. for $30 it's worth it. you can move your legs a little and sit on a computer chair. that's about it. anything else will cause it to spaz out. Did the way vrchat sdk uploads avatars change somehow? it literally takes like 30 fucking minutes to upload now. It's been a while since I've uploaded and the past few uploads have been like this.

It's strange because only the FIRST half of the upload process takes forever (as in, when I first click "build and publish for windows) then it starts doing upload shit and then finally 30 minutes later it takes me to the second half where I'm at the part where I can move the camera around and set the thumbnail image for the avatar, make it public/private/etc. I click upload and this last part only takes like 2 minutes to upload the avatar at last.
