Thinking of them make me extremely ToT. Damn I need to find a Koikatsu card of Antenna.
What did you guys get from the VR Festival sale?
>>393214104
I got tabletop playground which was a mistake, it's just as awkward as tabletop simulator in VR. Also got Maskmaker which I forgot even existed until somebody mentioned it in a /v/ thread, it has a decent sale, haven't played it yet. I did like fisherman's tale by the same devs, even though it was only like 40 minutes long.
>>393214104
After the Fall and VtolVR
>>393214503
Maskmaker is great, but it is admittedly not that long either. I love the physic interactions of crafting and using the masks. For the current sub $10 price it's probably worth it.

How many hours have you gotten out of mothergunship? Looks fun
>>393230037
Only five so far, got a clear in the game once. It is a real hoot. There are a ton of gun upgrades and such, and co-op is fun too. I feel like more stages or enemy variety would help though as it is three stages and only three bosses as a result. I'll see how long it takes to get boring.
>>393212086 (OP)
>that face
fucking gross lol
>>393230037
even in challenge mode and megagunship mode, a run will take you at the very most 30 minutes. i haven't unlocked ironman mode yet, but i think the coop endless mode is pretty much the best way to play it
>>393224709
Get Dirt Rally 2 too. It's a steal with all the DLC on sale.

Ah, i'm solo player anon.
Never bothered with thread meetups
For those on a Quest who got Gal Gun 2 on sale, I finally figured out how to fix the randomly dropped trigger pulls. If you run the game normally, it uses the Oculus API directly instead of the SteamVR/OpenVR one, and the Oculus API's controls for this game are fucked. Forcing the game to run in SteamVR fixes the controls, although the sticks feel stiff because of large deadzones.
To force the game to use SteamVR, set GalGun2-Win64-Shipping.exe to Windows 7 compatibility. OpenVR Advanced Settings has an experimental setting to suppress the Oculus API but it crashes the game. There might be a better way to do this like a standard Unreal Engine launch parameter, but I'm too tired to keep looking.
>>393280223
No I'm solo player anon.
>>393280296

I have no such problem on Virtual Desktop, it 100% launches via SteamVR

>>393279406
As a guy with 40 hours in the game I'd say you made the right choice. It's great with friends, but the pubs are awful with the lower difficulties being filled with squeakers who will leave after five minutes. Quest crossplay was a mistake.

Hello [fellow virtual reality enthusiasts],
With [REDACTED] officially [REDACTED], it seems particularly foolish to continue the on week/off week NA Pavlov pattern we've had the last few months. As a result, Pavlov will be played this Friday at midnight EST (Note: 1hr earlier than usual) with an alternate maplist: SND will be on the backburner (but still substantial, albeit on more esoteric maps) with other gamemodes making up the majority of the selection. With people likely continuing their righteous crusade unless VRC backpedals, we should have a solid turnout and it should be a good time.
Naturally, be drunk, its Friday night Pavlov.
Current gamemodes are, in order of magnitude: 8 SnD, 3 Push, 3 prophunt, 2 CTF, 2 infection, 1 TDM, 1 gungame, 1 one in the chamber, 1 king of the hill, 1 clone of SCP:Secret Lab, and 1 Halo custom game Duck Hunt
Note: No Hidden, No TTT: I'll gauge interest but if there's enough, a second Pavlov lobby will get hosted the following Saturday with a smaller group that'll introduce those gamemodes, as they're relatively controversial and it only takes one or two bitchy faggots to ruin the entire lobby.
when Bloodtrail is fully finished in 10 years, its gonna be great

>>393362313
>It has Hitman and that's more than enough for me.
I hate to tell you this, but Hitman VR is legitimately one of the worst piece of shit ports we have ever gotten. It's awful with lacking so many basic VR features. It feels like it's stuck several years in the past and you can really feel it was designed for the PSVR1's awful control scheme and controllers.
>>393362548
You say that as if Hitman doesn't already have a really bad PC port, which it does. I've put at least 2000~ hours into the new trilogy on PC though, so some shitty controls aren't going to stop me.
>you're fine with eating up shit
Yes
>>393362471
It was either get a headset that'll be out-of-date in a year or two and forgoing a GPU upgrade.
>>393362804
There's nothing wrong with the quest 2, other than I remember hearing it had worse specs than the original. Don't know if that's actually true though.
I already have a headset so I'm comfortably waiting for the next top end hardware generation to buy again.
>>393362804
Alright, if your standards are that low, don't let me stop you. But I can guarantee the VR issues are vastly worse than the usual PC port issues. It's way beyond "shitty controls" with that piece of shit.

>>393394867
Sony might release the pc driver themselves, in a partnership with valve, would tide in nicely with ps5 alyx release.
Here's a better webm btw.
>>393395010
I wanna say ease of entry, but the Quest 2 easily beats it at that. I guess if you want something slightly more powerful than the Quest 2, but don't want to buy a gaming PC the PS5 and PSVR2 is for you.
>>393395451
PSVR2 has foveated rendering. When PC drivers are there, it would become the default choice for PCVR.
For 400-500$ it's a no brainer.
PSVR2 could shit on Quest2 if the game is made by competent devs.
>For 400-500$ it's a no brainer.
$300 is possible honestly.
Just think about it. It uses fresnel lenses and not wireless (so you don't need a wifi module, nor a battery). Cameras for eye and position tracking couldn't cost that much.
>got my 3070 refunded and I get to keep it
Sure, the cards a bit disappointing in power, but it feels good to get a 600$ card for free
>>393395010
PSVR is for console gamers i.e people who can't into PC hardware but want to play something more substantial than mobileshit.
The PS5 hardware sounds like it can run a lot of PCVR ports, especially if Sony are getting 30% performance boosts from foveated rendering. For example Dave has hinted multiple times that PSVR2 version of Pavlov will use the same build as PCVR and that crossplay is planned between the two. Pavlov isn't the most demanding game but it demonstrates that the two markets may end up with significant overlap and where it doesn't the PSVR2 gamer will still have Sony exclusives to sweeten the deal.
That would be a decent outcome for us PCVR players too as a larger combined marketshare will draw some developer priority away from standalone and back towards the non-gimped games we want.
>>393398712
Are the stealing nigger from back then?
How did you manage to do it again?
>>393395451
I'm not retarded though. Everything is easy for me. The Quest 2 is trash either way.
>>393399217
You have to be retarded to buy anything other than Quest 2 these days.
You either wait for next gen or get a quest.
What I'm curious about is if AMD will remain a meme VR and in general, considering the PS5 uses an AMD GPU, or if maybe this is an implication that AMD cards will stop being dogshit garbage. At least for VR. Right now I'm considering going back to jewvidia once the new cards are out.
>>393399426
I'd rather stay playing HOMM3 until something good is out than buy anything by reptilianbook.
>>393399539
AMD has driver/attitude issues. They still cannot ship mesh shaders for vulkan.
They just don't give a fuck.
>>393399715
>not cucking the reptilianbook by buying the subsidized headset and just using it for PCVR
You have much to learn.
>>393399539
It's not like they are upgrading the PS5's GPU. It still only uses a ~5700xt equivalent. Foveated rendering is the real crutch here. That and Sony writes the software, so no AMD drivers. Just look at how fast the Valve written AMD Linux drivers are compared to their Windows equivalents made by AMD themselves. Or even the modded Windows drivers that have substantial opengl performance boosts.
>>393400547
>how fast the Valve written AMD Linux drivers are compared to their Windows equivalents made by AMD themselves
You're saying I should play on Linux instead?
>>393400856
Yes. A lot of games run faster on Linux due to AMD's shit drivers. I wish I was joking. Elden Ring is a great example where it had zero stutters day one thanks to Valve, while suffering awful frame pacing on Windows. openGL games are where the gap gets really wide. Just try modded Minecraft on both operating systems. To be fair Valve is somewhat competent in that regard. It gives me some confidence that the Deckard using Linux+AMD will actually run well if it ever comes out.

Bitch are you retarded? You really expect an android mobile chip to stack up to a 5700 xt equivalent? It also has 16gb of vram which'll help a lot for vr resolutions.

I mainly ask because at default quest 2 resolution, at 90hz, I can’t run Into the Radius at High Settings without lots of reporjection and I am disappointed
>RTX 3070
>RT 5600x
>16gb of ram
>>393402170
pls buff the ak12 to dave values (25 dmg per shot instead of 22) to compensate for the horrendous recoil
the awp was also changed (100 damage but 90% armor pen, meaning it's one-shot to unarmored players) but that i don't really care much for
>>393402739
>6900xt
>5800x
>G2, 100% SS, 60 fps
I don't play into the radius, but for simracing games I need to use every trick in the book to squeeze performance out. Bypassing SteamVR by using OpenComposite with the OpenXR toolkit. FSR at 80%. In game settings depending on the game. DR2 can now run smoothly (at 60hz) on high. AC on medium. ACC runs like dogshit. AMS2 and PC2 run decently. I haven't tried Pavlov or Contractors, because I have a G2 and anything that requires had tracking is LITERALLY unplayable, don't listen to the shills.
>>393403084
Personally I think the M9 shouldn't have a reduced price because the recoil is no longer insane.
>>393403315
oh yeah m16 and aug should also have the same price (idk which is the dave version)
and m9 is 250 in dave's version so you can buy armor with it (iirc it's 300 in gem?) but dunno if damage is different or not
>>393403128
Thank you for your reply anon. I just I just need to turn down my resolution and graphics. Does anyone else have experience with Into The Radius? It can be such a beautiful game but it seems to require a RTX 4090

Turns out you can just get a key instantly by being a patreon paypig. Oh well.

As always people should be very fucking wary of developers who lean into influencers this hard and talk up how their game is built for "esports' and "competitive" from the ground up. Nearly every game that took that direction from the start has not sustained a following at all. You can't force these things. People barely play the PC version of Pavlov anymore and it's got so much variety to it.
>>393476845
I guarantee this shit is going to crash and burn hard.
PCVR simply does not have the population to support any kind of "esports" scene. It's too niche. Maybe when PSVR2 hit and crossplay comes around it'll have the numbers without relying on the Q2. It's also somewhat saturated with shooters, relative to its size, to try and get a multiplayer one to enter the scene and try to take off, so that's another strike against its potential.
>>393480662
>I guarantee this shit is going to crash and burn hard.
Yeah, I'm on the fence. It seems like the developers mean well in giving it a stab. But then I see their obsession with courting influences and their plans to monetise skins and I'm like ehhhhhhhh.
Are you proud of my shelter? I worked very hard on it. This is my new, 2nd save, as I kept dying on my first.

Hunting with the boys. Nice scenery, good gun handling, pretty and rare animals to kill, meat to cook, trophies to mount on cabin walls, maybe vehicles to drive long distances over the big map, in game camera to pose with that saves screenshots, custom avatar support, multiplayer.
I'd settle for it being a vrc world.

I've had Neo 3 Link since release and for my use case (simracing mostly) it's been almost perfect since they fixed the major distortion and aspect ratio issues in DP mode a month ago. Wouldn't use it for wireless until Virtual Desktop comes out and I don't care for standalone.

>The recordings, which were reviewed by BuzzFeed News, contain 14 statements from nine different TikTok employees indicating that engineers in China had access to US data between September 2021 and January 2022, at the very least. Despite a TikTok executive’s sworn testimony in an October 2021 Senate hearing that a “world-renowned, US-based security team” decides who gets access to this data, nine statements by eight different employees describe situations where US employees had to turn to their colleagues in China to determine how US user data was flowing. US staff did not have permission or knowledge of how to access the data on their own, according to the tapes.

No, don't. It's basically a relic from the DK2 days, when it was actually somewhat useful if you wanted ANY AAA game to work (without 6 degrees of freedom and\or with your arms glued to your head, but at the time we took all we could). I know, because I own it, and made enough money from it that it was worth it.
>>393519421
Are there any better alternatives with similar features?
I've been hesitant on getting a VR headset and might jump on the Quest 2 before the price increase. I heard you can sideload stuff and all that, but how would I go about firewalling it so Zucc can be unaware of the anime girls I'm looking at? Is that even possible?
>>393521276
A general flat to stereo converter like VorpX? Not that I remember (there were a few alternatives at the time, but I don't think they're alive anymore), you're better off sticking with flat games that have dedicated VR mods, at best VorpX will give you a stereo-ified flat game where you still have to jankily use KBM, at worst it'll legitimately give you a headache. There's plenty, you just have to look around.

Quite good. The only thing that seems to run worse is ITR though. But then again I've had issues with that game anyway. The biggest issue I have regardless of running it native oculus or steamvr is the hand interaction. Is it just the touch controllers or is trying to open any kind of cupboard in that game fucking impossible? once you play HL:A it really spoils you with how fucking best in class the hand and object interaction

Zamn Mothergunship is fun. In this run I stocked a bunch of crit rate increasing connectors on top of the regular upgrades for the minigun+rainbow ammo which also up the crit rate. It's nice to physically build guns to create cool combos like that. One thing I find awkward about this game is that you are incentivized to put your actual guns as far away from your hand as possible, and largely stick to one hand to keep the modifiers in one place. The trailer for the game shows two evenly balanced guns on both hands built around a central spoke, while doing something like that in the actual game gimps you as you miss out on the connector pass through modifier. Still fun though.

Anyone here got the BoboVR M2 strap for the Quest 2? Do you find it kind of annoying to adjust to get it to fit just right?
>>393552420
I tried and it was legitimately the worst head strap design I ever had. I tried fiddling with it for over 2 hours with all the praise I saw, but I could never play for longer than 20 minutes before I didn't want to play anymore with how bad the comfort was and poorly it rested on my head. Could not stay in the sweet spot and it slid everywhere.
Some people love and swear by halo strap designs, but they're a fucking abomination to me.

I think the problem is, that when I've used your config file it was looking for Morrowind in the wrong folder, and asked me to run a wizard, which recreates config file and puts loading order into alphabetical.
I had to manually copy and paste the loading order part of the config file.

Yeah. Just a shame they forgot to develop past a glorified tech demo. A bigger shame that Bonelab looks no different. Only addition is modding capability with the developer saying "Here, you do it."

At least the foundation of the game is solid and could theoretically be fixed by some well designed maps.

>At least the foundation of the game is solid and could theoretically be fixed by some well designed maps.
Sure, that's what people said about the first game. For a sequel that's coming out nearly 3-4 years later you would have expected them to address these concerns with the singpleplayer though. But judging from the trailer it seems they're still heavily leaning into the whole "LOOK AT ALL THE COOL SHIT YOU CAN DO" marketing method that they used for the first game. And all the rest
>same lifeless, nondescript enemies that do nothing but march towards you or just stand there and shoot you
>same HL2 physics puzzles stretched out over levels broken up by some shit combat encounters
>same scant schizo arg shit instead of an actual well written story
It literally looks like they just took Boneworks, slightly reconfigured it for a quest release and now they're charging for it again. Adding official modding capabilities and saying "here, make you're own campaigns" is pretty insulting considering.
We'll ultimately have to see what the campaign is when the game releases, but going by the trailer it was disappointing for me because it looks like they're leaning into the same exact shit after teasing "project 4" for the last 2 years.
>>393466891
I dont think there's a good alternate for Wireless right now... Cambria sounds more of the same and Deckard is sounding like its gonna be 1k minimum

I'm in the same boat. I'll pirate it and play the campaign. Then I will wait a year and maybe pay for it if the mods are good and I didn't hate the base game.
