What's the ACTUAL reason vrchat is rushing to staple EAC in? I don't want to hear conspiracies about how modders are throwing around money to make them crack down, and they obviously don't care about theft since that was cracked in hours.

Started with mmd imports like everyone else, then frankensteined something together with a custom maid export as the base once i got more experienced. Later tried out vroid to make some original stuff, then decided to knuckle down and make something completely from scratch a few year ago. Been doing completely original self-made stuff from then. I think anyone can reach that point since I had no experience with blender or unity when I started in vrchat and I'm a pretty average learner. The question is how much do you value being 100% unique, given the extra cost in time to actually make all the stuff a scratch base avatar depends on? Most of them there's no reason to go further than a heavily customized booth base unless there's something you want to make that you could never do without starting from scratch.

This. I only forced myself to port my VRC av to CVR just so I can continue to hangout with people. If you're interested in music-based haptics it's really enjoyable. I have both this and a bhaptics vest. If you love listening to bassy music in vr it's perfect, especially at that price. It also does a decent job with audio from games, like gunfire. Just keep in mind that it's completely sound-based and stereo-only.

If you have an index, there's a button in the menu that swaps between finger tracking and using the finger animation in your gesture animation. In the settings, you can enable gestures with finger tracking. I think by default the toggle is the left A button for gestures, unless I remapped it to that and forgot.

anons with trackstrap plus, have any of you ever had an issue with the battery where part of the charging usb port got shifted back into the battery hull and your tracker doesn't charge anymore? battery can still be charged but tracker itself doesn't charge regardless of cable
already lost two batteries to the white part inside the tracker shifting back in the hull, resulting in the usb contacts not reaching the cable plug
is there a way to fix it like pulling back the white plastic bit with the contacts on them or by somehow opening the hull itself and replacing the usb port?

It's gotten a lot better since the last time I played. The VR Mode isn't perfect but fun.

You can adjust the VR Resolution within the text config file to make it less low-res, and there's a mod to remove the annoying playspace out of alignment warning, if you wanna sit down and enjoy the view.

The VR mode is neat for a while, but the appeal is basically the same as world exploring in vrchat. The controls are clunky and the game wasn't designed around VR. Not OP but I started playing it in VR but now I just play it in desktop. It's a decent game on its own but VR doesn't improve it.
