Literally the only headsets you should BUY USED are old WMR headsets, and that's only because they are built like tanks and have decent resolution, the tracking sucks.

Every other headset is built to fall apart in a years time, and if you're getting it used, you're not going to be able to RMA it.

It has to hit a collider, not just a mesh. Just B npc has a collider on her shaped to her body so the stuff you throw at her bounces off correctly. The easier way to do a laser pointer is to use a spot light which will properly project onto any mesh (that has a shader that receives light). In the past month, there have been 29 /vrg/ threads (Thread #1298 was on 7/25/2022, it is currently thread #1327 on 8/25/2022). Bump limit is 750 posts but we'll be generous and say the average thread gets 780 replies. That's 780 posts * 29 threads, divided by 30 days for an average of 754 posts per day.

/vrlg/ got 44 threads in the past 30 days, with an average of 350 replies each. Assuming that every thread got filled and there wasn't some retarded /trash/ thread count nonsense going on. That puts /vrlg/ at 513 posts per day.

I think treating /vrg/ the same as any other general is a wrong approach, because the topic is far broader.

This general is less comparable to something singularly focused like the Arknights General, or franchise-focused like Fire Emblem General,
it's more comparable to broader generals like /indie/, which is about niche indie games in general, or /civ4xg/, which is kinda like /vst/ but in prototypical general form, or /agdg/, or /vn/.

The /vrgg/ proponents would maybe disagree, though, claiming that /vrg/ is very VRChat-focused, which is true.

But I think the actual questions that matter aren't about whether the board would be fast enough, because there's plenty of good boards that are slower, they are about whether making a VR board would facilitate or hurt good discussion. Whether VR discussion has a place on 4chan (yes), whether VR discussion is already being served well by the existing structures (IMHO no), and what the costs would be to the other boards (negligible).

Ever since I was dumb enough to try a nauseating theme park ride as my first VR app back with the Oculus rift DK1, I very easily get nausea in VR, and even when I don't get actual nausea, I almost immediately get a vague sense of malaise. I've only used VR sporadically since then, mostly because that feeling never went away.

Anyone else had/have the same? Will it go away if I start using VR more and more to train the nausea reflex away? Are there any techniques or drugs that can help with this?
