A hybrid VR setup with a Quest 2 as the HMD, base stations, Index controllers and FBT, connected via Virtual Desktop. That way I can play wirelessly with low enough latency while still enjoying the luxury of outside-in tracking, as God intended.

It has all the downsides you'd expect from an IMU method with so few trackers for the legs. Feet glued to the floor, floating hips, hips bending the wrong way, struggling with slow movements, drifting faster if you're not standing etc. Recalibration is also the same 15-30 minutes you see on other IMU methods. Using a phone to recalibrate sounds like it could get annoying while in VR.

A spare tracker on your head for continuous calibration might be an idea if you happen to have spare cash, but with lighthouse tracked controllers re-calibrating is pretty straight forward anyway.
