It's new years! Year of the rabbit! No doubt you want to put on new years glasses on a bunny suit and have fun!
However, it's also going to be busy and it's not going to be an avatar you need for any other time, perfect opportunity to optimise it to help the new years experience! When making your avatar consider doing the following:
1. Import the FBX from the unpacked glasses unitypackage in blender on your main model and move it into place
2. Cut down unneeded meshes and join stuff until you have just a face and everything else as two meshes.
3. If you use any blendshapes as ‘on by default’, set them as basis. (individually)
4. Export to unity, and in unity, change down your texture resolutions to 2k or less
5. Duplicate your animator controller and apply that to the model; delete layers you don't need.

That's it; just a quick sweep of low effort/ good results optimizations. Let's have fun this new years!

Some resolutions for me

Eat a bit better (doing intermittent fasting, but I tend to overeat during the times I'm allowed to). Get more painting done. Actually get on VRC and try to attend meets rather than hide in a private room to paint. Stream a bit. Hunt down and try to learn to play the VRC piano. Actually work on my avatars on a regular basis. Find a better place to live in real life.

Considering the timing the post was made, I assume this was when the VRChat servers were dying, and this person got hit with the bug that makes you not able to hear people or have other people hear you. So he got mistaken for a mute rando when he didn't respond to the "interrogation". Apparently no one nearby knew who he was, and there was no way to verify if they were from 4chan or not since they were effectively muted by the game.
All in all, shit happens, but the Friends+ approach worked well enough.
