Todays map recommendation: Soglio Village By nobelchoco
3d scanned worlds, most of the time, is just someone randomly scanning his room, usually boring and quite mediocre as a world, but this one – an amazing exception.
Soglio Village is a fully and properly PhotoScanned village in Switzerland, breathtaking in it’s relative quality to other similar projects. Walk around in a small alleys throughout city that makes a labyrinth where you actually want to get lost; keep on keeping on discovering more details and little places with each turn. Decided to experiment today a little, so putted this black outline between photos; Thanks to the advice yesterday about no dark outlines on dark text, I thought since most of photos here are medium to bright I should make background dark, looks pretty fine I’d say? - Your facial expression shapekeys are setting your visemes to 0, just remove these properties from the animations

It's split across too many objects to really show off.
Basically there's a box collider inside each elevator. When a player selects the floor, that player takes ownership of the box, sets the destination floor on it, and then sends an event saying that everyone touching that box should teleport to the new floor (with a small in-between elevator ride effect).
What killed this approach is that very often the event would arrive before the variables were synced, or the event wouldn't fire, or the event would arrive way too late.
So I tried a different approach where the player sets a floor and a time variable on the box instead, and then whenever this synced time variable changes, you will be teleported if this time is within the last 5 seconds. But eventually this breaks for some reason, or sometimes fails to teleport everyone that's in the elevator.
It works perfectly fine in the editor player emulator so it seems to be a quirk that only happens ingame, making it nearly impossible to debug because I don't want to keep bothering people to test it.

Gogo loco is a replacement locomotion and action controller. It allows you to have better walking, standing and crouching animations and also redoes the way your emotes work so you can add more if you really want.
It's also incredibly overcomplicated and you should just use LocomotionFix instead unless you really want the 3-point cope poses to pretend you're sitting or laying down.
It does not use the FX controller, unless you use the one that also adds a flight collider. So you can just use your own FX controller to do facial expressions if you want.

Thanks for this but I tried all 3 of these and nothing changed.
Turns out I don't even need to use the expressions to fuck the face up, the visemes do it on their own and the issue gets worse when the avatar blinks. When I disable blinking the eyes still move outside the head when I talk, it's just less noticable.
Here's how my playable layers, blinking and visemes are set up, if anyone who knows more than me can see if the fix is obvious

i think every individual folder is a file in the unity project so that's why there are so many folders
the folders containing models and textures contain a "pathname" file, that contains the original filename
or it'll have preview.jpg
either way you can search the "pathname" files for "fbx" and import the one that has a preview.jpg that looks like an avatar
i don't know how to do that in windows
in linux it's like "fd pathname -x grep -H fbx"
or you can search for "preview.jpg" in explorer.exe then rename the corresponding asset to asset.fbx
then you gotta do the same thing for every material

so basically it's easier to just import to unity first then to blender
