Is having more than two base stations for an index worth it? I have a massive playspace. Also how do you typically set up seated VR? How I have it now I'd have to move the base stations when I want to play at my Desk, or move my chair to the middle of the play space.

If you have a wide open place space and are able to mount them up high to opposite corners without issues or major occlusion areas from furniture getting in the way, I've never felt like I had drift just using 2, but it also depends on what you'd want to do since I'm sure FBT trackers mounted to the foot might be a challenge given the steep angle required to catch them if you get too close to the base station. As to seated, I just wheel my chair to the middle of the room. Who gives a fuck if it looks silly, VR always does from the outside.

It's not necessarily that I'm thirsty for the CV1 specifically, but rather I Am Poor, and looking for a good and cheap first PCVR experience. The CV1s in question were both insane deals at under 100, whereas if I wanted a quest 2 anywhere nearby it's like 250+ (200 if I drive an hour) and even Rift S go for 200 (150 if I drive an hour).
Also, I've looked up long term reviews and comparisons and despite being like 7 years old and having lower res displays relative to contemporaries, people say it holds up pretty well as a whole?
Being OLED is a big plus for games with lots of darker environments. Also this is more of a me problem but being lower res means it's easier for my PC to run the games at 90hz native. The external tracking is reportedly super solid, low latency too, and won't freak out if you bring your hands close to your face or behind your back. I could take or leave the included ear speakers, but people say they're good enough to use.

Mods have nothing to do with it; any game or software will need to download content to view it, and VRC stores avatars and worlds in a cache folder. Third party tools that don't even touch vrc can monitor this folder for automated ripping. You can also manually rip from there too.

1. That's just it though, right? I COULD buy a used quest2 at 250 and still have money for food and bills. But what if I hate it? What if all the little things anons gloss over like the controller latency/occlusion and link compression and grey blacks actually add up to a bad experience for me? You get used to them and if you've never used another headset will hardly bother you because you have no frame of reference.

Those things alone won't make you have a bad experience with the Quest 2. It's the state of VR that usually pushes people away. There is the hidden extra cost of accessories, rechargable batteries etc to make regular use viable. Wireless is also very impactful but it's optional, you don't need to buy a new router straight away.

$100 sounds damn good for a CV1 but it depends on the condition, the state of the cable is usually indicative of how the headset has been cared for. CV1s fall apart easily and a well kept cable is worth more than all the other parts put together nowadays. Google your motherboard and usb controller with CV1 to see if they're a problematic combination, CV1 was plagued with frustrating USB related problems.

As I have no other way to contact Chiitoitsu owners, but as instructed here's a complilation:

the reset button needs to be surrounded by a slightly bigger trigger collider, so it could shield the button against accidental activations

you might have set the wind indicator static or didn't parent it to the rotating ui, it never rotates with the dealership

check the postprocessing settings, in the bloom settings enable "fast bloom" it look almost completely the same but performs much better

there is definitely not enough light on some corners, maybe its worth adding some emissive trinklets, or small wall lights, just to illuminate tiles better

Tile heightmap seems to be fucked, tile face heightmap is like uniformly pressed in, if you look carefully, most likely it's because "sRGB" is ticked in the heightmap texture import settings, which makes it map incorrectly to the height

For fast good shaders look into silents Filamented shader, it looks like standard shader without annoying sheen, and is extremely performant (it's a port of googles filamented, which was made for mobile devices)

The fog particles might be causing high GPU useage too

There's jank like the item deletion bins being right next to the entry doors to the trade room and storage rooms, but while being clearly a bad design, that's a skill issue to avoid. If you crash randomly while playing perfectly that's not gameplay, that's just timewasting.
It is made even worse by it being a gear momentum game; Bringing gear you find is how you increase your survival chances, and in a crash you will lose both gear you find and gear you brought in, for a double whammy of garbage gameplay loop destruction. The devs complain about people ratting and just beelining it for the loot areas while naked; but if you play the game properly you just crash and lose it.

bunker is unironically worse. There is no shelf space for attachements in the armory (or nearby), where you'd want to keep your guns

The storage areas are so dark that you need nightvision to find your attachements, or autistically go upstairs to turn on the generator for the lights. But don't forget to turn it off when going to a raid or logging off, because it will still run in the background and waste expensive gas!

The worst part is that July was meant to be a major content update, but we ended up with:

I'm not too worried about the state of VR. I bought a google cardboard, tried PSVR a couple years after it launched, and forgot about VR cause the real stuff remained prohibitively expensive. I play majsoul when on the bus to my classes/labs and have learned pretty much every rule and most of the gameplay terms. I did it with the explicit intent of eventually joining the mahjong worlds to play with anons. I want to play in VR, but I have never seen a world used with numbered tiles. I do not have the time or desire to nerf my ability read the game board for however long it will take me to learn and memorize all the tiles by symbol.

Avoid they shotguns if you're trying to win. They're all or nothing and too often you'll be out of range to do anything but armor damage.

Famas is complete garbage, Scar is overpriced for no reason and damage falloff hurt the revolver a lot.
Of course any gun can still work if you're good enough.

What you can have though is have multiple audio sources acting as backup for each other in the cases where the user needs to trigger more audio sources.
You can code this in the animator.
