Meaning the avatar you are most proud of for the year.
We have a bunch of themed events but nothing caters to what each anon likes specifically yet.
I think this could be it so we have something to remember our year's avatar work.

Some interesting things I can think of for polish would be:
1) Different runway animations (participants choice)
2) More unique lightshows to highlight the participant
3) Better FOV, head tracking controls for the screenshots

Tried out No Man's Sky in VR and while the performance are all over the place, I'm really surprised what they've managed to do with the motion controls.
The tutorial is pretty decent too and there's specific VR tutorial prompts as well. Default settings are pretty bad with like Teleport movement, Massive vignette when moving and the like but overall the immersive nature of it all is pretty great.
Quick menu access by pointing with either hands on your wrist and small holograms menu pop up you have to tap your fingers against, etc. Flight controls are surprisingly decent too.

That's the same specs I have, you should be fine.
Since you don't have a lot of VRAM in comparison, you will probably want to limit the max download size of avatars to 45MB by default in the options. Most people will have avatars underneath that, anything above that in download size you can manually show. But chances are that anything above that is horrendously unoptimized.

It varies depending on your room, your hardware, your setup and whether or not you're using wireless. If you're using a version of space calibrator that isn't ancient, it can often keep the calibration automatically as you're playing. Some people can go almost a week without recalibrating.

It's not too bad. I'd consider turning on Lock Front Camera in the VR settings to be mandatory as it stops all mandatory jerking and tilting of your VR view. Suppressors are free to use beyond the money cost of them, why the fuck wouldn't you use one? However, it's not like they magically make the AI ignore you or even really do that much to stop you from drawing attention unless you mean not drawing literally every shadow on the map instead of the group you're engaging. You can rightfully complain about the damage the late game shadows do with a gun while being unnaturally tanky to even the SCAR with AP rounds, much less a mid game AR, but it's not like you're Solid Snake'ing around and popping them without getting into a fight.

As much as I do horde my trophy guns (taken from kills) I care more about trader progress to sustain the use of higher tier equipment. Naked runs to grab loot and get out always seems to pointless to me because you can die even when you're kitted. For me the whole point of going into a raid is to make trader progress. Money doesn't matter if you have nothing to spend it on and equipment doesn't matter if you're not doing anything with it.
Part of why I dropped the game is because the loop just didn't click with me. It got stale way too fast with the trader progress being so slow and the trader quests being so bland.
