Aside from the fact nearly everyone here hates TDAs, I use this as an example of avatar creators falling off. Nawtemi was such a fucking great model feature wise, and the audiolink was so good. Then this one came along which was kinda uglier, had less features, lame outfit, worse audiolink, etc. Only thing they did right was the cool color presets.

I've recently been to Midnight Bar. It might be an interesting system that can be improved for our jannie.
I'm thinking of making a "BOUNCER" system that hard locks the door and only the bouncer can open and allow it to specific people.

So you literally have to pass a person before you can get in. I'm just worried that would scare away shy anons from even trying. And will reduce the pool of willing jannies as that is a tough job to maintain. Since they will essentially be on-call for new people every matching round or worse be out there always when possible. Maybe a two-jannie shift system so one keeps watch while the other matches for fun and vice versa.

I have the exact same setup, the stutters are from your vram maxing out thanks to retards with high texture memory. Only way to fix it is simple get a card with lots of vram like the 4090 or 7900 xtx. My gf has same setup but with a 4090, and with almost everyone shown in a full 80 person instance it uses 22gb of her vram. I stops stutters by turning down my steam vr resolution to 20% and hiding avatars with high texture memory.

Best cure in my opinion is playing round based FPS games, like onward, or pavlov SND. Where you die and wait a bit for next round, and your brain gets exposed to VR movement in small intensive doses with some time to relax.

for any game that involves controlling a vehicle in a cockpit, VR is not an 'experience' or 'gimmick', it's just plain a must. Many games like B&S or ItR would simply not work in flat, it wouldn't give you the game that's even remotely similar in concept or logic to what it is in VR.

I play VR a whole lot. I love flat vidya like kerbals or cities skylines, but when it comes to action, it's mostly VR. I tried playing WRC before it got VR and I struggled to see some of the corners/road bits due to lack of depth perception. If anything, I can't imagine a more suitable genre for VR than racing. Resolution is a secondary concern because you don't exactly need to see fine details in racing the way you need to see them in planes, and for the downside of resolution, you receive presence, 1:1 scale, depth perception, ability to peek to your side in a natural manner, list goes on.

Two of our league racists fell out on the same corner, and after checking through videos, it turned out that call for the corner was there and it was even mixed with "caution", it was just blended into an endless torrent of other calls in such an unfortunate way that it gave an impression that the next corner you're about to enter is still a gentle one.

I think WRC really missed on a great opportunity by offering simplified calls, but simplifying them into low/medium/hard instead of leaving numbers as they are. I'd give lots to be able to just filter out all of the somewhat useless "20 40 bad camber stay left do a flip 60 120", even though those are objectively useful calls. It's just that they're just too much to take for both of my remaining brain cells that are not working on keeping the car straight at the moment.

For me, it's about the same. It was often similarly congested in DR2, and DR2 codriver had a horrible tendency to lag behind when there's a lot of corners and you go fast enough. I vividly remember one particular set of corners in DR2, I think it was Scotland, where codriver would actively call up to two corners behind if you cut them just right, literally telling you to turn into the opposite direction the very moment you hit the last of the corners. VRC has tons of content. Fun comes in all shapes and sizes, from pure creativity/content creation, through games, to pure social aspect. You can enjoy it simply by being an anime girl and doing dumb crossovers with other anime girls from different game/anime (if you have a specific character from some series), you can enjoy it through playing golf or 8ball, you can even enjoy it through saying loud cheers, burping like the worst lowlife, and then tripping over the bottles scattered all over your room, which looks hilarious because your avatar is an innocent girl. And then there's the other side, I've found more than one genuinely impressive person in there, many massive nerds are putting crazy things in their avatars/worlds and talking to those guys is nothing but a pleasure.
