Celebrate Chinese new years with /vrg/ by becoming snek or just wearing a nice snake themed Chinese dress!

Ok here's the breakdown on how to get your basic Snek girl up and running:

1) DL this https://files.catbox.moe/yoxpor.zip (Lamia Tail) (Requires Modular Avatar installed)
2) DL this https://booth.pm/en/items/1633965 (Mesh Splitter)
3) Place the snek prefab insisde your avatar hierarchy (there is a scene under Sundae>Parts_Torso>-plain and it contains the prefabs) and scale it to size. DO NOT MOVE IT IN THE VERTICAL AXIS. Just scale it and use the blendshapes to surround your torso in a proper lamia way
4) Make Quad and position it on your avatar like >>508651980 (Cross-thread) cutting it just below the obvious spot to cut your avatar in twain. Place Quad in quad slot and body in body slot of Mesh splitter.
5) delete the bottom half of your avatar

7) SNEK STONKS

btw some extra note for the Chinese New Year dress up event. Not required to be LAMIA but preferrable.
You can be any creative snake you want to be or just a simple chinese dress with some snake theming on it.

Finally the perfect head strap solution for me!
My chair for sim racing has a fixed head rest, since it's just a bucket seat, so I always had to swap out my kiwi strap for the default one because of the fat knob on the back.

This adds just enough extra support to the strap.
Can lay down in bed comfortably too.

Atm it's just placed on the chart as a "dead air" or as you say a quiet spell
the chart does not take into account someone being rude and not giving space for thought to be finished

we can probably improve the detail of that but it's like pic related
people can in theory talk over in each other if the softness and hardness and amount of words they utter is of a "different frequency". The brain can parse them together but the rule is it gets harder the more waves/streams of voices are at the same time

All my European friends will calmly wait to hear what I'm trying to tell them, and even if they don't want to hear what I'm trying to say, they will at least wait and say "Yeah, yeah, anyway-" before changing topic.

In America and some Americanized parts of the world, they instead opt for volume and assertion. Which means, if you're a mousey ADHD kid who doesn't sound confident speaking: you'll get stepped on as no one will even register what you're saying is even relevant. If you don't speak what you're saying with firmness, certainty, volume, and clarity the first time- it gets ignored. And in some parts of the country, it's not uncommon for simple conversation between friends to turn into screaming contests as both parties amp up their volume to assert their side of the conversation as the more important one.

Hello /vrg/. As you might know, Monster Hunter Wilds comes out towards the end of February, and I felt like celebrating its launch within VRChat; so, this is a formal announcement for the Monster(Girl) Hunter event.
I plan on hosting this February 22nd, 9:30pm EST (EU events times TBA, need to find an EU host that’s interested). While it is not a hard requirement, I would very much like it if people who plan on attending either create a Gijinka based upon one of the creatures within the MonHun universe, or create a Hunter within the MonHun universe (other ideas relevant to MonHun are also welcome). There will be no custom map for this event, as I feel that there are plenty of suitable Monster Hunter maps to hang out on, but there will be a group photo about an hour to two hours into the runtime of the instance. Rumble is a vr fighting game using earthbending, which is done via your movements. Yes, like that show. It is a lot of fun and imo is a prime example of a game that really feels great in VR.

The "main" format is 1v1, but you can have lobbies of up to 6 players, which is what we'll be doing.

If you are interested in playing, I'd STRONGLY recommend booting it up beforehand and familiarizing yourself with the motions and unlocking a few moves, which you get through playing. It doesn't take much practice to understand the motions, but it isn't something you can just show up and immediately intuit like you can with a gun so please do the tutorial at least or you're going to have a frustrating time.

The game was updated recently and has enough players on for matchmaking at all hours of the day which is pretty rare for a vr game.

Sturdy construction designed to take serious abuse, electric motors, guess motor controller also costs money. Would probably cost $400, but you get a $100 discount because you have to use logitech drivers. I can't imagine DIYing a similar base for less than ~$80 in parts, and then you also have a h-shifter and pedals. G29 pedals are admittedly literally three potentiometers soldered to a piece of wire, but the sturdy structure would surely take some attempts before getting it right.

Honestly once you have that much stuff there are no 'general' improvements to be made.

If you play shooters and want more stability, look into a stock system. If you want more verisimilitude you could look into haptics (not sure I recommend it, IMO it's just getting shocked by a vest full of shorting cables).

If you play flight or driving sims, look into throttles, wheels, pedals or sticks. For a cheesy upgrade, you could look into effects like fans. Miles of cash can get you simulator type chairs to throw yourself around, or at least add a little jostle and rumble.

If you enjoy stuff socially like in VRC, you might want to commission avatars or avatar systems to improve or vary your experience there.

Personally I'd buy a cat if you don't have one already, but that's just me.
