Since I do want more on-topic posting instead of the usual avatarfaggotry vs non avatarfaggotry posts what are some actual good game worlds in VRC? I haven't done anything since Steel & Gold. Doesn't necessarily need to be multiplayer or anything, just shit to do in VRC.
I do remember the climbing thing from a few months(?) back but that got stale very fast. I'm a little tired of drinking and sitting in the same world for hours.
Only took me seven years. I'm pretty proud I held on for that long.

Celebrate Chinese new years with /vrg/ by becoming snek or just wearing a nice snake themed Chinese dress!

Ok here's the breakdown on how to get your basic Snek girl up and running:

3) Place the snek prefab insisde your avatar hierarchy (there is a scene under Sundae>Parts_Torso>-plain and it contains the prefabs) and scale it to size. DO NOT MOVE IT IN THE VERTICAL AXIS. Just scale it and use the blendshapes to surround your torso in a proper lamia way
4) Make Quad and position it on your avatar like >>508651980 (Cross-thread) (You) (Cross-thread) (You) (Cross-thread) (You) (Cross-thread) cutting it just below the obvious spot to cut your avatar in twain. Place Quad in quad slot and body in body slot of Mesh splitter.

Well the idea is to read the book by the date. I prefer physical books too so I would imagine I'd factor that in when setting dates. This was announced back in mid December so this round it's a month to get and read it. Dorian Gray is like 200 pages so it's not particularly heavy. I'm hoping that during the first meetup we can iron out the details going forward. I'm thinking the date shouldn't be set in stone so we can adapt depending on the length and availability of the books we decide on so could be hosted anywhere between every month to every two months. In regards social circles this has only really been announced in the thread so aside from one or two people who talked to me directly about it because they knew I was the one hosting I don't actually know who will be attending the first meet so it could be an opportunity to make new friends for everyone involved including you and I.

What would be the easiest way to resculpt an entire head from extreme animu proportions (left) to something like middle and eventually rightmost?
My issue is that the blush, eye swap, sweat, etc. textures are shrunken inside the head and aren't sculpted to fit the mesh as I work.
I have a theoretical idea of what to do, that being to max out all options and sculpt them all as one, then revert them afterwards, but I wanted to see if there's a better way.

2) Create a new blendshape set it to 100 and highlight it
3) Click to activate the little rectangle thingy at the lower right of the blendshape table thingy
4) Go to sculpt mode and use elastic deform
this will create a blendshape that changes everything
do note this will be horrible if you don't know what you are doing. better to just mix and match existing shapekeys and add them together into a new shapekey mix using the little dropdown arrow black in the shapekey creation thingy

Yeah, that's the thing, you have no means of comparing it to anything else, and yet it'll be your first experience of VR. So: don't think this is how modern headsets are, keep in mind that you're using a headset at literally 1/4 pixel count of meme $350 quest 3, keep in mind your controller layout was pretty much abandoned after first 2-3 years of VR, and you'll have a good idea of what's what. It's an exfil game. You gear up before entry and everything that happens in the map doesn't matter (few exceptions) unless you extract.
Loot something and die? It's gone never happened.
Kill someone and then you die? Might increase a kill X dudes task but other than that, back to lobby.
Gear is ethereal, make use of it because there's no point in letting it sit in your stash unless you're saving it to play with friends.

Scavenger // scav modes in exfil games, might go by different names, but they give you a free shit kit. Like an AK with no stock and no dust cover, or a mosin.
You're not risking anything but what the game randomly spawned you with, it doesn't affect your main guy, and anything you extract as a scav is free to keep. You generally can't complete tasks as scav unless it's to collect and deliver a generic item.

Sorta, kinda. There's native Quest version but it's sorta hidden in the store and there's the old Oculus version that works with native Rift or AirLink. You've got to understand that there are different tiers of friends and interactions. There are people here who I'm always happy to see but that I don't talk to outside vrc/vr games much. These people I consider friends and I enjoy talking with by happenstance but they're more in the tier 1 category and I don't generally go out of my way to reach out to them aside from chance meetings/social space overlaps. The next step up is people that I'm generally excited to see/talk to and I probably also talk to outside of vr and have had in depth conversations with on mutually shared topics. These are the people I'm probably running to or greeting first when they're in proximity and they make up the majority of circles I'd hover in on any given day. I may play flat games with these people from time to time and discuss more private topics with about life or politics or whatever. Maybe we've met or maybe we've just had some cozy late nights together discussing life doesn't really matter. These people in my eyes are more tier 2 friends and what some of the more obnoxious pedantic retards here would classify as where "friendship" actually begins. Tier 3 is generally reserved for my personal inner circle in life, people who I have very fond memories with/trust deeply and my association with them I consider to be a direct reflection of my character. If they do something I morally disagree with I would scold them because they are an extension of me.

If you want to move from being a tier 1 friend/acquaintance you'll need to actually interact and spend quality time with people and not just coexist with them. This is how I've always personally visualized it. If I had to guess the ratio it's probably something like 100:5-10:1 give or take a bit. Spend quality organic time with people and you will inevitably move up people's priority list and find yourself prioritizing the people you favor. It's unironically that simple.
